Notes on a commenter and comment

I wrote, some weeks ago, about Republican Kansas Governor Sam Brownback and his agenda, goals, methods and the work he's been doing lately.

If you don't know me or this blog, it wasn't positive. (See link below).

Well, it took a while--weeks, actually--but someone, Mr. (could be Ms. but I doubt it) "Anonymous" meaning either lazy or coward. I always attribute that anonymity to the latter. They can't own up to their opinions but want to put it/them out there, regardless.

Anyway, I thought the comment was rather funny so I thought I'd post it here and give a couple comments on it. Here goes:

"Next time I read a blog, I hope that it won't fail me as much as this one. After all, Yes, it was my choice to read, but I actually believed you'd have something interesting to talk about. All I hear is a bunch of complaining about something that you could fix if you were not too busy seeking attention."

First, I thought it funny they would gripe so stringently about the post, period.

Not that I'm always right, certainly--far from it--in spite of what my brother says or you may think.

To me, the things Governor Brownback is doing next door in Kansas is not only bad for the people but needs to be brought to light so we can hopefully not go through with some of his ideas and plans and then avoid it in the future as well. If that isn't worth writing about then whatever but "one man's ceiling...", you know?

The other thing is that, at the end of his complaint, which is fairly strident since he says all he hears from it "...is a bunch of complaining if (I) were not too busy seeking attention."

Yeah, well, it's not about attention, dude. It's about righting a wrong, as I said.

Anyway, the real kicker to me is that he then ends and tags it with "my web site - http://www.TheDietSolutionReport.org"

That, to me, was really odd. It's too stupid a comment to want to have read but not too bad to tag with some advertising.

Curiouser and curiouser.

Finally, it made me wonder if the guy isn't from the Guv's office and he had to get in his complaint.

The coward.

Enjoy your Sunday, y'all. I know I am.
