Quote of the day--on gender roles

"We live in a society where the nation's leading universities' enrollments are majority female, and it's time the media started recognizing that women and men should no longer feel pressured to follow strict, dated guidelines of gender behavior." --Daniel Koh, MBA Student at Harvard Business School

Where the hell's THAT moron been? Women burned their bra's outside the Miss America Pageant in 1968!!!

Now we're seeing birthrates down, more divorces, more latchkey kids and bad behavior.

Nice the universities are doing well but we also see some unintended consequences. One reason for all this is that the middle class is being squeezed and our greed has expanded; we want more stuff. Hence both parents work today, if they're parents at all!

I think you're pulling out cause and effect when it's not there.

I don't believe the higher number of women in universities is likely to be shown to cause more divorces, latch-key kids, bad behavior, etc. More women in universities isn't causal for that, I think it can be shown.

and our greed may be one thing but if it has a factor, it stands on its own, not directly associated with more women in universities.
