This Much Support for a Sitting President's Opponent From His Own Political Party is Unprecedented

Yes, Mr. and Mrs. America, the amount of public, formal, announced support this Republican Party President's opponent is getting, has already gotten from members of his own political party is unprecedented in our nation's history. Never before in America have this many people and groups come out against a sitting President and for his opponent, from, again, his own, this President's own political party.

And thank goodness.

Post image

Check out this partial list. First these 4 groups.

Republican Voters Against Trump

I wasn't even aware of these next two Republican groups against Trump.

Then this story broke yesterday in the Military Times which I'm naturally loving.

22 Retired 4-Stars Join Nearly 500 NatSec Leaders in Letter Endorsing Joe Biden

Here's a General and former member of his staff.

In an extraordinary condemnation, the former defense secretary backs protesters and says the president is trying to turn Americans against one another.

Also breaking yesterday, coincidentally, is this high profile break with this Republican Party President.

And here's more of Trump's own people, people that know him best, turning on him.

And why wouldn't all these people and groups form against this President? We've seen so very much of the damage he's done and that he's doing, especially this week, with this.

Then look at this. Psychologists, too, are lining up against this man and his Presidency.

After allowing the Trump Presidency, which should never have happened, the American people are waking up, and thank goodness.

And overall, here's a big factor of what this President and his administration seem to clearly stand for.

And the opposite of Trump? The opposite of this small, self-serving man and all his greed and emotion?

This Republican Party President is attacking our Democracy, our health care system, attacking our protections for clean air, water and soil, even our own Postal Service, our census and still more. It's unreal. It would be unbelievable from any other President.

Face it. It's a Presidential election between a thinking, experienced adult and a greedy, self-serving, uninformed, ignorant, reckless, even dangerous, very emotional child.

Vote this fall, folks. November 3rd, be sure to vote.

And vote blue.

Won't Agree to a "Peaceful Transfer of Power"?

Did you see this report in the news in the last day?

Post image

Trump Won't Agree to 'Peaceful Transfer of Power,'

This is insane. This is nuts.

We need everyone, everyone, in the media and citizens, everyone to stop asking him if there will be a "peaceful transfer of power."

It's not his to decide. And it's certainly not an option.

This isn't his banana republic.

This is a Democracy. This is our Democracy. And it's ours to defend and keep.

And meanwhile, his spineless enablers in his political party respond predictably.

Missourians! Know What's On Amendment 3 This November!

Coming up in November, with our election, is Amendment 3. We need to know what's in it and what's being attempted.

No on Amendment 3

Below is the language for Amendment 3-The Dirty Missouri Amendment that is about rigging maps to protect incumbent politicians-that will appear on the Nov. 3 ballot.

It is important to read the entire amendment. If one only reads the first two sections you might be inclined to vote yes, but it is a definite NO vote you should cast.

Don’t be fooled by the first two sections. It would reduce the lobbyist gift limit by $5 dollars only and it would lower the contribution limit for state senate candidates by only $100 - That’s it. That’s the list. That’s how politicians are hoping to dupe you. It is the remainder of the ballot that does the damage to Missouri voters and would reinstate gerrymandered districts and make it all but impossible for voters to oust embedded and corrupt politicians.

Why are politicians trying to overturn the will of Missouri voters?

2020 is politicians’ last chance to set things up for gerrymandered maps in 2021 that would last through 2030. They want:
  • Unfair, noncompetitive districts to limit voters’ ability to hold their leaders accountable
  • New rules to let lobbyists and political operatives draw lines in back rooms
  • Explicit allowances for extreme partisan gerrymandering
  • To not count kids or non-citizens in Missouri’s population
  • Unprecedented restrictions on citizens’ abilities to challenge unfair maps in court
In 2018 Missourians voted 2 to 1 for clean government reforms. The Republicans said Missouri voters didn’t know what we were doing-WE DID-and now they want to overturn the will of the people - and have succeeded in getting confusing language on the ballot.

For more details go to https://www.cleanmissouri.org/dirty-missouri/

Ballot language is below -

Shall the Missouri Constitution be amended to:

• Ban gifts from paid lobbyists to legislators and their employees: • Reduce legislative campaign contribution limits:
• Change the redistricting process voters approved in 2018 by: (i) transferring responsibility for drawing state legislative districts from the Nonpartisan State Demographer to Governor-appointed bipartisan commissions: (ii) modifying and reordering the redistricting criteria. State governmental entities expect no cost or savings. Individual local governmental entities expect significant decreased revenues of a total unknown amount.

VOTE NO

Nearly Unbelievable Breaking News This Afternoon

Two big stories broke this afternoon I can hardly believe. First up from Louisville, Kentucky.

People gather in Louisville, Kentucky, on Wednesday to wait for the grand jury announcement in the Breonna Taylor case. The jury later decided that one officer would face charges related to shooting into neighboring apartments during the police raid of Taylor’s home. None of the officers face charges connected to Taylor’s death.

The city of Louisville, Kentucky to the family of slain citizen and EMT Breonna Taylor:

"Here, here's 12 million dollars for your very, very recently deceased sister, daughter, cousin but understand, our police officers did nothing wrong whatever."

Sure.

Makes perfect sense.

How can anyone possibly tell Black people in America their lives matter when a young woman, an EMT, can be safely at home, at night in her own home, her own apartment when police officers then execute a no-knock warrant--but for the wrong address--and shoot her 8 times only to kill her?

And then there's this.

The city of Louisville made sure they gave the family of Breonna Taylor TWELVE MILLION DOLLARS, very quickly, but then, now seem to be saying "Here's twelve million dollars, very quickly, right away, but don't think for a moment our police officers did anything wrong."

Sure.

Makes perfect sense.

And people think Black Lives Matter protests are unnecessary?

Really?

Let's truly make #BlackLivesMatter in America. This is insane.

Then, second, Missouri's Republican Governor Parson and his wife both came down positive for coronavirus.

Mr. You Don't Need to Wear a Mask.

Thanks, Republicans!

You bloody hypocrites. You fools.

Political scientist specializing in America said on Russian state TV: “The USA has become a land of idiots.” He recommended that Russia intensify its info-wars against the United States, in order “to showcase America’s impotence on a global stage.”

Russia Is Rooting for Civil War in America: ‘The Worse, the Better’: “It is better to remain neutral, but if we had to choose, then Trump is certainly ours.”

Same source.

If this Trump Presidency hasn't concerned you, at least, up to this point, perhaps now is a good time for it.

Thanks, Republicans. Clearly, clearly you'll do anything, anything for power--nation, people, fellow citizens and Democracy, our own and the one with the big D, be damned.

Our Known Enemy Wanted--and Wants--Donald Trump President

 Think about this, folks.

Republicans in specific, Americans in general-- keep in mind that our known, sworn, very public enemy, Russia and it's leader Vladimir Putin worked for Donald J Trump to be President.

Report Shows How Russia Helped Trump Get Elected

Not just once in 2016 but again now, 4 years later, too.

And there's more to this, too. Check this out. A very Republican Party led Senate investigation shows there was work between, with the Trump campaign and Russians to make it happen, too. Remember this from just earlier this year?

Does that tell us nothing?

Thanks, Republicans.

"There is no literature or poetry in this
White House. No music.
No Kennedy Center award celebrations.
There are no pets in this White House.
No loyal man’s best friend. No Socks the family cat.
No kids’ science fairs.
No times when this president takes off his
blue suit-red tie uniform and becomes human, except when he puts on his white shirt-khaki pants
uniform and hides from Americans to
play golf.
There are no images of the first family
enjoying themselves together in a moment
of relaxation.
No Obamas on the beach in Hawaii
moments, or Bushes fishing in Kennebunkport, no Reagans on horseback, no Kennedys playing touch football on the Cape.
I was thinking the other day of the summer
when George H couldn’t catch a fish
and all the grandkids made signs and
counted the fish-less days.
And somehow, even if you didn’t even like GHB, you got caught up in the joy of a family that loved each other and had fun.
Where did that country go? Where did all
of the fun and joy and expressions of love and happiness go? We used to be a country that did the ice bucket challenge and raised millions for charity.
We used to have a president that calmed and
soothed the nation instead dividing it.
And a First Lady that planted a garden
instead of ripping one out.
We are rudderless and joyless.
We have lost the cultural aspects of
society that make America great.
We have lost our mojo. Our fun, our happiness.
The cheering on of others.
The shared experiences of humanity that makes it all worth it.
The challenges AND the triumphs that we shared and celebrated.
The unique can-do spirit Americans
have always been known for.
We have lost so much
In so short a time."

To which I add,

Thanks, Republicans.

Okay, Now Senator Hawley is Just Lying

I was stunned to the point of near anger at what is now coming out of Republican Party, Missouri Senator Josh Hawley's mouth now.

Here's the problem.

No one said that.

Quite the contrary. Now he's creating things out of thin air that aren't remotely true.

In the article, it also points out Sen. Hawley says he hopes Americans are all listening closely. It's because we're listening and paying attention that we're going to vote out this Republican Party President Trump, at the very least.

Republican Party President Donald Trump and Our US Military and Veterans?

Here is just a short, abbreviated, partial list of just how much this Republican Party President Donald J "Jenius" Trum has done for---and not infrequently, to--the military and/or to currently serving members of our forces and/or Veterans who served. Ladies and gentlemen of the United States, fellow citizens, I give you the President of the United States. With sincerest apologies.

Post image

  • In May 2020, the White House ended National Guard deployments ONE DAY before they could claim benefits
  • The Trump admin seized 5 million masks intended for VA hospitals. Kushner distributes these masks to private entities for a fee, who then sell the masks to the government
  • Trump fired the captain of the USS Theodore Roosevelt after he warned superiors that COVID19 was spreading among his crew. The virus subsequently spread among the crew.
  • After Iran's retaliatory strike, 109 US troops suffered brain injuries. Trump dismissed these as "headaches"
  • On July 20, 2017, in room 2E924 of the Pentagon, Trump told a room full of Generals, "You’re a bunch of dopes and babies"
  • Pardoned multiple war criminals, which stomped on long standing military values, discipline, and command. Trump has no military experience (May & Nov, 2019)
  • Trump mocked Lt. Col. Vindman for his rank and uniform. He threatened said purple heart officer, resulting in the Army providing him protection
  • Trump’s Chief of Staff worked—in secret—to deny comprehensive health coverage to Vietnam Vets who suffered from Agent Orange.
  • There is a facility in Tijuana for US veterans that Trump deported. Wounded war vet, Sen Duckworth (D) marked Veterans Day 2019 by visiting this facility
  • Russia took control of the main U.S. military facility in Syria abandoned on Trump’s orders. Russia now owns the airstrip we built
  • On Oct 7, 2019, Trump abruptly withdrew support from America's allies in Syria after a phone call with Turkey's President Erdogan. Turkey subsequently bombed US Special Forces.
  • Trump sent thousands of American troops to defend the oil assets of the country that perpetrated 9/11, Saudi Arabia
  • In Sept 2019, he made an Air Force cargo crew, flying from the U.S. to Kuwait, stop in Scotland,  where there is no U.S. base, to refuel at a commercial airport, where it costs more, so they could stay overnight at a Trump property, which isn't even close to the airport. Trump’s golf courses are losing money, so he's forcing the military to pay for 5-star nights there.
  • In Sept, 2019, Pentagon pulled funds for military schools, military housing funds and daycare to pay for Trump's Southern border wall.
  • In Aug, 2019, emails revealed that three of Trump's Mar-a-Lago pals, who are now running Veterans Affairs, are rampant with meddling. "They had no experience in veterans affairs--none of them even served in the military--nor underwent any kind of approval process to serve as de facto managers. Yet, with Trump’s approval, they directed actions and criticized operations without any oversight. They wasted valuable staff time in hundreds of pages of communications and meetings, emails show. Emails reveal disdainful attitudes within the department to the trio’s meddling."
  • Veterans graves will be "dug up" for the border wall, after Trump instructed aides to seize private property. Trump told officials he would pardon them if they break the law by illegally seizing property
  • Children of deployed US troops are no longer guaranteed citizenship. This includes US troops posted abroad for years at a time (August 28, 2019)
  • On Aug 2, 2019, Trump requisitioned military retirement funds toward his Southern border wall
  • On July 31, 2019, Trump ordered the Navy rescind medals to prosecutors who were prosecuted war criminals
  • Trump denied a U.S. Marine of 6 years duty entry into the United States for his citizenship interview (Reported July 17, 2019)
  • Trump made the U.S. Navy Blue Angels violate ethics rules by having them fly at his July 4th, 2019 political campaign event
  • Trump demanded US military chiefs stand next to him at 4th of July parade (reported July 2, 2019)
  • In June, 2019, Trump sent troops to the border to paint the fence for a better "aesthetic appearance"
  • Trump used his D-Day interview at a cemetery commemorating fallen US soldiers to attack a Vietnam veteran (June 6, 2019)
  • Trump started his D-Day commemoration speech by attacking a private citizen (Bette Midler, of all people) (reported on June 4th, 2019)
  • Trump made his 2nd wife, Marla Maples, sign a prenup that would have cut off all child support if Tiffany joined the military (reported June 4th, 2019)
  • On May 27, 2019, Trump turned away US military from his Memorial Day speech because they were from the destroyer USS John S. McCain
  • Trump ordered the USS John McCain out of sight during his visit to Japan (May 15, 2019). The ship's name was subsequently covered. (May 27, 2019)
  • Trump purged 200,000 vets' healthcare applications (due to known administrative errors within VA’s enrollment system) (reported on May 13, 2019)
  • Trump deported a spouse of fallen Army soldier killed in Afghanistan, leaving their daughter parentless (April 16, 2019)
  • On March 20, 2019, Trump complained that a deceased war hero didn't thank him for his funeral
  • Between 12/22/2018, and 1/25/2019, Trump refused to sign his party's funding bill, which shut down the government, forcing the Coast Guard to go without pay, which made service members rely on food pantries. However, his appointees got a $10,000 pay raise
  • He banned service members from serving based on gender identity (1/22/2019)
  • He denied female troops access to birth control to limit sexual activity (on-going. Published Jan 18, 2019)
  • He tried to deport a marine vet who is a U.S.-born citizen (Jan 16, 2019)
  • When a man was caught swindling veterans pensions for high-interest “cash advances," Trump's Consumer Financial Protection Bureau fined him $1 (Jan 26, 2019)
  • He called a retired general a 'dog' with a 'big, dumb mouth' (Jan 1, 2019)
  • He increased privatization of the VA, leading to longer waits and higher taxpayer cost (2018)
  • He finally visited troops 2 years after taking office, but only after 154 vacation days at his properties (Dec 26, 2018)
  • He revealed a covert Seal Team 5 deployment, including names and faces, on Twitter during his visit to Iraq (Dec 26, 2018)
  • Trump lied to deployed troops that he gave them a 10% raise (12/26/2018). He tried giving the military a raise that was lower than the standard living adjustment. Congress told him that idea wasn't going to work. Then after giving them the raise that Congress made him, he lied about it pretending that it was larger than Obama's. It wasn't.
  • He fired service members living with HIV just before the 2018 holidays
  • He tried to slash disability and unemployment benefits for Veterans to $0, and eliminate the unemployability extrascheduler rating (Dec 17, 2018)
  • He called troops on Thanksgiving and told them he's most thankful for himself (Thanksgiving, 2018)
  • He urged Florida to not count deployed military votes (Nov 12, 2018)
  • He canceled an Arlington Cemetery visit on Veterans Day due to light rain (Nov 12, 2018)
  • While in Europe commemorating the end of WWI, he didn't attend the ceremony at a US cemetery due to the rain -- other world leaders went anyway (Nov 10, 2018)
  • He used troops as a political prop by sending them on a phantom mission to the border and made them miss Thanksgiving with their families (Oct-Dec, 2018)
  • He stopped using troops as a political prop immediately after the election. However, the troops remained in muddy camps on the border (Nov 7, 2018)
  • Trump changed the GI Bill through his Forever GI Act, causing the VA to miss veteran benefits, including housing allowances. This caused many vets to run out of food and rent. (reported October 7, 2018)
  • Trump doubled the rejection rate for veterans requesting family deportation protections (July 5, 2018)
  • Trump deported active-duty spouses (11,800 military families face this problem as of April 2018)
  • He forgot a fallen soldier's name (below) during a call to his pregnant widow, then attacked her the next day (Oct 23-24, 2017)
  • He sent commandos into an ambush due to a lack of intel and sent contractors to pick them up, resulting in a commando being left behind, tortured, and executed. Trump approved the mission because Bannon told him Obama didn't have the guts to do it. (Oct 4, 2017)
  • He blocked a veteran group on Twitter (June 2017
  • He ordered the discharge of active-duty immigrant troops with good records (2017-present)
  • He deported veterans (2017-present)
  • He said he knows more about ISIS than American generals (Oct 2016)
  • On Oct 3, 2016, Trump said Veterans get PTSD because they aren't strong (note: yes, he said it's 'because they aren't strong.' He didn't say it's 'because they're weak.' This distinction is important)
  • Trump accepted a Purple Heart from a fan at one of his rallies and said: “I always wanted to get the Purple Heart. This was much easier.” (Aug 2, 2016)
  • Trump attacked Gold Star families: Myeshia Johnson (gold star widow), Khan family (gold star parents) etc. (2016-present)
  • Trump sent funds raised from a Jan 2016 veterans benefit to the Donald J Trump Foundation instead of veterans charities (the foundation has since been ordered shut because of fraud) (Jan, 2016)
  • Trump said he has "more training militarily than a lot of the guys that go into the military" because he went to a military-style academy (2015 biography)
  • Trump said he doesn't consider POWs heroes because they were caught. He said he prefers people who were not caught (July 18, 2015)
  • Trump said having unprotected sex was his own personal Vietnam (1998)
  • For a decade, Trump sought to kick Veterans off of Fifth Avenue because he found them to be  unsightly nuisances outside of Trump Tower. 1991
  • Trump dodged the draft 5 times by having a doctor diagnose him with bone spurs.
  • No Trump in America has ever served in the military; this spans 5 generations, and every branch of the family tree. In fact, the reason his grandfather immigrated to America was to avoid military service."
  • Finally, at least here, today, to this day, September 22, 2020, this very Republican Party President Donald J "Jenius" Trump has not even attempted to punish Russia for putting a cash bounty on our American soldiers in field, in Afghanistan.
I ask again, how is this man even still President?

Thanks, Mr. President.

Thanks, Republicans.  That's quite the guy you have there you foisted on us all.

The Thing That Ate America's Brain

From long time favorite Tom Tomorrow and Daily Kos.

I contend that, besides this Trumpian and Republican Party fear they've been inflicting on the nation and that we've been experiencing for far too many years, the other thing that "ate America's brain" is money.

And we let it.

What Is It With Missouri's Senator Josh Hawley?

Missouri's very Republican Party Senator Josh Hawley was first going on and on for at least days, if not weeks, about the NBA and what some imaginary problem they were---even though there famously isn't any NBA team in Missouri, thank you very much.

Now, he's been obsessed with TikTok. His post today on Facebonkers:

Josh Hawley

This is the right move - ratchet up the pressure on Beijing, protect Americans.

It was his response to this article, from Fox, of course.

There is, presently, as all the rest of us know in America, the most killing, deadly international pandemic in the last more than 100 years but apparently our very Republican Party Missouri Senator Josh Hawley knows nothing whatever of it.

I mean, I know he wants to suck up to his political party's President but come on. Priorities, anyone? You want to maybe deal with the number one most important issue of the nation right now, one that's literally killing approximately 1,000 fellow Americans per day---or deal with a side issue about trade with China?

Could he not work for PPE and testing for we Americans for this pandemic?

Herewith, a couple things he might, just might work on instead.  If we're lucky.

What Is It With Kansas City, Missouri and Purchasing Contracts?

Kansas City, for pity's sake.  You and contracts.  Now, this time, again, it's the new airport.

Delay at KCI? Council’s bungled contract could slow progress on new airport terminal

Construction firm asks feds to investigate why it was denied $75 million KCI contract

The city of Kansas City, Missouri was founded in 1853.

Will we ever, ever get letting purchasing contracts right?

Ever?

On God and Forgiveness---From Someone Who Should Know

Conservative Jesus? Republican Jesus?

 Yeah. I don't think so.

Quote of the Day -- God, Woody and Me

Oh, yeah.

Hypocrite, Thy Name Is Republican

Herewith, a list of several Republicans and their quotes on having a Supreme Court nominee named during an election year.

  • 2016, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas): “It has been 80 years since a Supreme Court vacancy was nominated and confirmed in an election year. There is a long tradition that you don’t do this in an election year.”
  • 2018, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.): “If an opening comes in the last year of President Trump’s term, and the primary process has started, we’ll wait to the next election.”
  • 2016, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.): “I don’t think we should be moving on a nominee in the last year of this president’s term - I would say that if it was a Republican president.”
  • 2016, Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.): “The very balance of our nation’s highest court is in serious jeopardy. As a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, I will do everything in my power to encourage the president and Senate leadership not to start this process until we hear from the American people.”
  • 2016, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa): “A lifetime appointment that could dramatically impact individual freedoms and change the direction of the court for at least a generation is too important to get bogged down in politics. The American people shouldn’t be denied a voice.”
  • 2016, Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.): “The campaign is already under way. It is essential to the institution of the Senate and to the very health of our republic to not launch our nation into a partisan, divisive confirmation battle during the very same time the American people are casting their ballots to elect our next president.”
  • 2016, Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.): “In this election year, the American people will have an opportunity to have their say in the future direction of our country. For this reason, I believe the vacancy left open by Justice Antonin Scalia should not be filled until there is a new president.”
  • 2016, Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.): “The Senate should not confirm a new Supreme Court justice until we have a new president.”
  • 2016, Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Col.): “I think we’re too close to the election. The president who is elected in November should be the one who makes this decision.”
  • 2016, Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio): “I believe the best thing for the country is to trust the American people to weigh in on who should make a lifetime appointment that could reshape the Supreme Court for generations. This wouldn’t be unusual. It is common practice for the Senate to stop acting on lifetime appointments during the last year of a presidential term, and it’s been nearly 80 years since any president was permitted to immediately fill a vacancy that arose in a presidential election year.”
  • 2016, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.): “I strongly agree that the American people should decide the future direction of the Supreme Court by their votes for president and the majority party in the U.S. Senate.”
Stunning hypocrisy now, with so many of them pushing for an immediate replacement on the court for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg's seat.

Fortunately, the response from Democrats since Friday has been good to fantastic.

I heard on the Sunday morning news this morning that it's actually more like 91 million dollars raised. Good on us.

I love this, too, naturally.

And check this out. This is incredible, fantastic.

There is some good reason for hope.

May we, the people, win.

On to November.

Vote. Vote Blue.  #BlueWave2020

Quote of the Day -- Sunday Edition

“The idea of a good society is something you do not need a religion and eternal punishment to buttress; you need a religion if you are terrified of death.”

Have a great day, y'all. Enjoy.

Quote of the Day -- On Capitalism

We have to grasp, as Marx and Adam Smith did, that corporations are not concerned with the common good. They exploit, pollute, impoverish, repress, kill, and lie to make money. They throw poor people out of homes, let the uninsured die, wage useless wars for profit, poison and pollute the ecosystem, slash social assistance programs, gut public education, trash the global economy, plunder the U.S. Treasury and crush all popular movements that seek justice for working men and women. They worship money and power.

RBG--Thank You and Hoping You Are Already Resting in Peace

Thank you, Justice Ginsberg, for all.

Tzadik - Wikipedia

Tzadik (Hebrew: צַדִּיק‎ [tsaˈdik], "righteous [one]", also zadik, ṣaddîq or sadiq; pl. tzadikim [tsadiˈkim] צדיקים‎ ṣadiqim) is a title in Judaism given to people considered righteous, such as biblical figures and later spiritual masters. The root of the word ṣadiq, is -d-q (צדק‎ tsedek), which means "justice" or "righteousness". When applied to a righteous woman, the term is inflected as tzadeikes/tzaddeket.

Tzadik is also the root of the word tzedakah ('charity', literally 'righteousness').

On RBG, Her Passing and What Should Happen

4 years ago Sen. McConnell said “The American people are in the middle of choosing who the next president is going to be. And that next president ought to have this appointment, which will affect the Supreme Court, for probably a quarter of a century.” He used this idea to block Pres. Obama’s March 2016 Supreme Court nominee.

Sen. McConnell chose this standard. He should live by it. If he does not, the already fragile institution that is the Supreme Court will suffer.

Justice Ginsburg told her granddaughter just days ago "My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed."

Quote of the Day -- Possible Supreme Court Hypocrisy Edition

Senator McConnell must, must be held to his own standard. As of today, Saturday, September 19, it is 45 days from this next Presidential election. There should be NO NEW SUPREME COURT JUSTICE proposed this year by this President. It was good enough for Senator McConnell and the Republicans in 2016 with President Obama and Merrick Garland. The same should absolutely be held to today.

Fortunately, Senators Collins and Murkowski have both already publicly said they will and can in no way support a replacement for Justice Ginsberg before the election with this President.
