The World's Warmonger
We, the US, the United States are, hands down, the world's warmonger, ladies and gentlemen. No one, no other nation comes even remotely close to spending what we do on what we call "defense." And we don't even do it well.
See the fighter jet above? It's the Air Force's F35.Nice, huh? And it only cost us 400 billion dollars. The Pentagon's most expensive program. Ever. Literally. Google: "The US Air Force Just Admitted the F-35 Stealth Fighter Has Failed." It's at Forbes Magazine.
$400 billion dollars. And it doesn't work.
Aren't we terrific? Exceptional, don't you think? But hey, let's keep shoveling more and yet more money to the Defense Department. That'll keep us all safe. Right?

Good News, Bad News Breaking Today
Oh, happy day. At last. Pass the popcorn. This should be good. Not done there on his taxes, this just broke in the last hour, too.
The point being, the Supreme Court already responded to Trump's request for a delay this morning. Fantastic. Onward, Yahoo.
Yet more goodness andyes, it's on the Trumpster, too.
Ex-Gotti Jr. prosecutor hired to help Manhattan DA probe Trump
It seems New York City isn't messing around at all. They hired a tough attorney who has, in the past, gone after the mob and people in it. Huzzah. You go, NYC.
Next up is this.
Hey, actions--and words--have consequences, Mr. Lindell. Buck up.
And now for the bad news.
It seems Republican Representative Steve Scalise was on ABC's "This Week" news program yesterday and just would not admit to George Stephanopolous on air that Joe Biden won our Presidential election and that Trump lost.
Maddening. Dangerous, even.
At least it's more good news than bad. That and the temperatures are warming, as I said, as we all know all so well. Yeehaw. Yay, us.
Have a great week, y'all.

Still More Bizarre Is Coming Out About Trump and His Political Party
Between the Republicans themselves and their extreme Right Wing and then the QAnon people, I can barely keep up. And with Trump out of the White House, I thought the bizarre stories of him were behind us but no, there's still more. Did you see this?
Russia has been cultivating Trump as an asset for 40 years, former KGB spy says
Just a bit from the article:
- The KGB cultivated Trump as an asset for 40 years, a former operative told The Guardian.
- Yuri Shvets told The Guardian that the KGB had identified Trump as a potential asset in the 1980s.
- Shvets said it was stunning when Trump took out an ad repeating anti-Western talking points after a trip to Moscow.
Seriously, that last one must have had the Russians deliriously happy at the time, that they could get this famous reality TV host to parrot their criticisms of HIS OWN NATION?? And then to get him planted at the head of that nation? As PRESIDENT?? Their wildest dreams surely came true.
It would normally be extremely upsetting, too, to the fellow members of his political party but they just COMPLETELY DENY IT. Just deny it all. That way you can tell yourself it never happened. And then accuse Democratic Socialists like AOC and Bernie Sanders and the like of being Communists.
I tell you, I can't believe where we are.
Republicans and Right Wingers actually attacked our own nation's Capitol and no one is really being held accountable for it. Some of the actual trespassers have been charged but that's it. Nothing else.
With that attack on the Capitol, so many of us were sure even the Republicans would hold Trump accountable, for the nation's sake but no. Certainly not. This took place yesterday, for God's sake.
Additional proof:
Forget about a GOP crack-up: Republicans rally around a defeated Trump because they understand power
Meanwhile, there is this:
As further proof, there's this guy.
Then, one Republican taking a gun into Congress and the Capitol, no, certainly not.
Then, from Texas we have this pretty incredible development.
Here's a guy who was part of the attack on our nation's Capitol and now he goes back home and proposes his state leaves our union, leaves the United States.
How are both of those not treason, separately?
How is this guy getting any support from his political party on the local, state or national level? How is that possible?
Into what ultra-bizarro world has Donald J Trump and his political party dumped us all?
How do we get it all to stop?

Only 5 More Days of this Orange Mess of a President
Only 5 more days to tolerate this orange President and his administration, thank goodness. And in the midst of all this, everything around him is falling apart, virtually, if not actually.
- He was just impeached for the 2nd time in your Presidency, a first in your nation's history
- He must vacate that same Presidency in 5 days
- States are cancelling multi-million dollar contracts with his companies
- Corporations and businesses are cancelling financial aid and any other support to and for him
- He has hundreds of millions of dollars in loans coming due in months to come and finally,
- He has been cut off from virtually all meaningful social media because of his personal opinions and announcements in the last months
More:
Pew's last poll of his presidency is also Trump's worst. They show his approval rating at 29 percent. A great deal of us out here don't think it should even be that high, of course. And while he is at his lowest popularity, most Americans want him held accountable.
Here's what they're saying about him across the pond in Ireland presently.
It seems his taxes are not just being investigated for his taxes and any problems in 2 New York State cases but also in both Ireland and Scotland. On top of it, Scotland has made clear Trump is not welcome.
Imagine that, please. A former US President declared not welcome in another, foreign nation that is an ally. Again, unprecedented in our nation's history. He's becoming a sort of, if not actual, man without a country.
Then, this is what's happening just now with his attorney.
Meanwhile, this is where we stand today on this very killing pandemic for which we are leaderless, of couse.
Thanks, Mr. President.
Thanks, Republicans.
Thanks, Republicans.
A Facebook post very correctly, I think, summed it all up this way:
Thousands dying every day, an economy in shambles, millions out of work, massive deficits, a skyrocketing national debt, a country divided unlike it’s been in decades, the United States turned into some twisted, embarrassing global reality show the rest of the world is watching in horror, our enemies are stronger, white supremacists and other conspiracy nuts empowered and more radicalized than ever before, and the very foundation of this country fractured to such an extent it might take decades to repair the damage that’s been done to it. -- Allen Clifton
The Washington Post has summed up Trump to be the following:
I think the following quote from USA Today is accurate.
With these last few days pending, it's the power he still has that is so very concerning.
The biggest loser
With these last few days pending, it's the power he still has that is so very concerning.
There is at least one silver lining to Donald Trump's complete paths of destruction, I think and that's this.
I will say this finally today, I no way thought Republicans would do worse than Nixon, and a LOT worse, at that, in my lifetime. But they did. And did they ever.
Fortunately, this afternoon, on a different story, there is this breaking just now.
NRA declares bankruptcy
My God, that is magnificent. So for 2021, we will have gained a vaccine, lost a killing pandemic, gotten rid of an orange excuse and nightmare of a President and the NRA declared bankruptcy!!
Happy new year, everyone!

Senator Josh Hawley is Attacking Your Vote, Our Votes, Our Election and Democracy Today, Missouri, America
Yes, Missouri's own Senator Josh Hawley is doing just that. He's attacking your vote, our votes, our election, right down to our Democracy today, Missouri and America.
GOP senator to delay affirming Biden victory by forcing votes on Electoral College results
Yes, grandstanding demagogue Senator Josh Hawley is putting up a fight to help and go with this Republican Party President Trump and his sycophant, uninformed, misdirected and misinformed supporters that we shouldn't accept and recognize President-elect Biden's win in last month's election.
Isn't that wonderful?
Forget that over 50 courts have thrown out all the cases on this because there was and is patently zero evidence of vote fraud. This was from November 23, mind you.
Trump's election fight includes over 50 lawsuits
Most of them have been shot down or withdrawn, and no court has found even a single instance of fraud. Of at least 57 cases to have been filed, including some not directly involving Trump but which could nonetheless affect his standing, at least 50 have been denied, dismissed, settled or withdrawn.
Trump has aggressively ramped up his allegations of election fraud in the weeks since his projected loss, tweeting dozens of debunked theories. Despite the Electoral College vote this week certifying Biden's victory, Trump has still not conceded.
Meanwhile, since the end of November, even more cases have been thrown out, dismissed by judges and courts. This one happened December 14.
Wisconsin Supreme Court tosses Trump election lawsuit
Even Republicans have come out and said Trump and this vote fraud nonsense should go away.
It's not just his call for our election to be overturned, either. This is how this group of Republicans feel about this President of theirs.
Additionally, this was from November 21.
More examples--and from, again, Republicans.
Georgia GOP lieutenant governor says 'no credible examples' of voter fraud
Republicans rebuke Trump over claims of voter fraud
And sure, I get it. Senator Hawley wants to keep in good to great graces with Trump and maybe even more, his supporters, sure, so he can maybe run for the presidency in 2024. I get that. But attacking, again, our votes? Our election? Our Democracy?
Oh, hell, no. This cannot stand. Senator Josh "Mr. Sedition" Hawley can't get away with this.
The Washington Post said it so true and right.
Josh Hawley reminds us that the GOP is the sedition party
I can't recommend enough and ask that anyone and everyone who sees and reads this please phone or email---or both--Senator Hawley and tell him we don't appreciate him subverting our Democracy.
Hawley's office. You may well have to leave a message: (202) 224-6154Friday, November 20, 2020
This Maddening, Possibly Frightening President Now
This so sorry excuse for a President and "leader" is still, still, to this day, pushing to ignore our election, deny that election, ignore our vote and votes and subvert our Democracy.
Even Fox's own deeply Right Wing loony Tucker Carlson says Trump and his legal team have no evidence of election fraud.
Worse, once again it looks as though people in this administration are actually harming or trying to harm the nation, too, one way or another, no exaggeration.
Check that out. Rebuked by someone, another department, in their own same administration. It's insane. We've never experienced anything like this in our nation I don't believe.
Here's another example of what leadership looks like to this man, this President, this Donald J Trump.

President Trump golfs at Trump National Golf Club on Sunday in Sterling, Va. (Al Drago for The Washington Post)
Trump could be a no-show at virtual G-20 as coronavirus ravages the globe
The White House won’t say whether the president will participate in this year’s summit of world leaders
We know why Trump wants to hold onto his position what with tax and criminal investigations pending on, of and for him.
NY probes Trump consulting payments that reduced his taxes
Apparently Ivanka won't be unscathed by the examination, either.
Is it any wonder Trump expressed dislike for New York in the last month or two? They're examining his taxes--for fraud--on at least two different levels. I believe this is the third.
Fortunately, at least a few Republicans are speaking up about this President and his tactics.
Retiring GOP Sen. Alexander said Trump should provide the Biden team with all resources necessary for a smooth transition.
This next one is a very pleasant surprise.
I frankly thought Senator Ernst would lay low and keep quiet on this. I'm pleased to see she's doing the right thing here on this.
This naturally pleased me, too, of course, logical as it is.
Former AG Eric Holder weighed in, thank goodness.
And this is the status just now, fortunately. Not that reality means anything to this Orange Man or his supporters, sadly, tragically.
Unfortunately, this is where far too many people in this Republican Party stand.
This is where this President and his political party have brought us.
“To succeed, Biden will have to do more than secure Americans’ right to vote, ensure that workers’ wages rise, and return life to some semblance of pre-pandemic normality, although those are all necessary,” Adam Serwer writes. “He must show Americans that the government can serve the people, and not just the ambitions, avarice, and ego of its leader.”
National security is one of the major reasons smooth transitions are so crucial, says Barbara Perry, director of presidential studies at the University of Virginia's Miller Center. Perry notes that the 9/11 Commission pointed to the shortened transition period between Bill Clinton's administration and the Bush administration after the disputed 2000 results in Florida as playing a role in al-Qaida's attack in 2001.
Besides not leading the nation during this killing pandemic, this just took place, too. This is from Axios.
The largest free trade area in the world came into existence over the weekend — and the U.S. was not even invited.
Why it matters: For the first time in living memory, the hegemon at the center of a major global free trade agreement is not the U.S.
China has stepped into Uncle Sam's shoes, and now anchors the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, or RCEP, an area covering 2.2 billion people and 1/3 of all the economic activity on the planet.

China has stepped into Uncle Sam's shoes, and now anchors the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, or RCEP, an area covering 2.2 billion people and 1/3 of all the economic activity on the planet.
So here's the question. The New York Times poses it this week.
To which I answer, no, no we can't restore the rule of law without prosecuting Trump. Further, and just as importantly, at least, we need to make certain no one and nothing like Donald Trump happens again here, too. Donald Trump's crimes have been too numerous and they have been too grievous, too, both.
And again I say, because it's deserved, too, still, still we are leaderless in this the most killing, deadly international pandemic in the last more than 100 years.
Still, still no leadership from this man Trump, our supposed leader, our President on this pandemic, in any way.
The time has more than come, America.
We are, frankly, America, in one helluva mess, medically as well as politically and this President and his political party are standing squarely in they way of any solutions.

Final Presidential Debate--Trump Takes More HIts
Yes, we had the final Presidential election campaign debate last night as we all know and yes, The Orange Man, The Trumpster, "President" Trump is now taking hits on it as he rightly should this morning. Here are but some.
Right off the bat, let's put this up front.
Post-debate CNN poll: Biden wins final presidential debate
Viewers once again said that Biden's criticisms of Trump were largely fair (73% said they were fair, 26% unfair), and they split over whether Trump's attacks on Biden were fair (50% said yes, 49% no).
On from there.
It's difficult to tell just where this President Trump gets his information.
On the news this week that 545 migrant children's parents couldn't be located after the Trump administration separated them, the parents from the children, The Trumpster had this response.
Forget that they're children.
Forget that they're abandoned.
Forget that they're now in institutions.
Forget that they're no doubt scarred for the rest of their lives by this experience, these experiences.
Trump says they're "so well taken care of."
Right. Sure they are. Just as well as if they were, what? With their own family? With their own parents?
An excellent summary of the final debate comes this morning from Forbes Magazine, I think.
Just a bit from the article gives a great deal of good information.
- On the Covid-19 death toll, Trump claimed that “2.2 million people were expected to die,” a misleading number which he has stated multiple times to claim that his administration saved 2 million lives. The number is based on the worst-case scenario modeled by the Imperial College of London which hypothesized what would happen if no action was taken during the pandemic and people continued to live their daily lives as normal, with no change in behavior. The model, however, acknowledged that such a scenario was unrealistic.
- Trump incorrectly stated that the country was “rounding the corner” on the pandemic, despite the number of new infections rising once again to nearly 60,000 a day, following a dip in the late summer.
- Trump also falsely claimed that Dr. Anthony Fauci, the federal government’s top infectious disease official, had described Covid-19 as “no problem” and predicted it would “go away soon.” In reality, even back in January, Fauci said that the U.S. had to take the disease seriously, while in February he said that the risk was still low but cautioned “this could change.”
- Trump accused Joe Biden of receiving $3.5 million from Russia and the amount came through Putin, a claim based on a politically charged report released by Senate Republicans last month into Hunter Biden’s business dealings in Russia and Ukraine. The report, however, does not accuse Joe Biden of any wrongdoing or claims that Hunter Biden’s business dealings influenced the Obama administration’s foreign policy. Hunter Biden’s lawyer has also denied that he was the “co-founder” of the company in question.
- In one of the most bizarre statements of the night, Trump claimed that Biden’s platform is pushing to force buildings to replace their existing windows with smaller ones, or remove them altogether, in the name of energy efficiency. This claim is false since Biden’s platform makes no mention of windows anywhere, nor does the Green New Deal, a more expansive proposal to fight climate change endorsed by many progressive Democrats but not Biden himself.
It goes on from there.
- Under fire for his handling of the Covid-19 pandemic, Trump tried to shift blame, repeatedly accusing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) of acting slower and accusing her of “dancing on the streets in Chinatown in San Francisco” and urging street fairs and parades. Pelosi made a visit to San Francisco’s Chinatown in late February, where she urged people to take precautions and to be vigilant while advocating the patronage of Chinese businesses. A day later Pelosi called for a broader and more forceful response to tackling the virus, according to the Washington Post.
- During the debate, Biden claimed that Trump had caused America’s trade deficit with China to “go up, not down”. According to PolitiFact, this is mostly false since the U.S. trade deficit with China in goods and service was lower under Trump in 2019, than it was in any of the final three years of the Obama administration, where Biden served as vice president. Biden’s campaign is pointing to a narrower evaluation that includes trade in goods only, where numbers under Trump have generally been higher than they were under Obama.

President Trump’s very first line of the night, about COVID-19 deaths, was false and set the tone as he and Democratic rival Joe Biden unleashed a torrent of claims in their last presidential debate.
Of course, this will all be said to be "fake news" by this President and his followers but so it goes.
Just not this one. Not Donald J "Jenius" Trump.
In summary today:
- Hunter is not running for President.
- We are not “rounding the corner” on Covid-19.
- Vaccines are not weeks away.
- Trump can actually behave better if enough people tell him to, if it's absolutely required.
- Yes, we know when the cages were built, and we also know for what purpose.
- The stock market is still not the economy.
- Trump comparing himself to Lincoln is bizarre.
- Release your taxes, Mr. President. We know the audit excuse is complete nonsense.
- This debate probably didn’t change anyone’s mind.
- Meanwhile, too, not one word from this "President" on what he would do if he were, God and heavens forbid, reelected. Not one.
Thanks, Mr. President.
Thanks, Republicans.
Now, let's do this.

Trump and McConnell Sewing Their Own Electoral Doom for the Republican Party
This President Trump and Senator Mitch "Moscow Mitch" McConnell, at least, are helping insure Republican Party failure November 4 in this election. This is one more way they're making it happen. This story broke 2 days ago.
McConnell Won’t Support $1.8 Trillion White House Stimulus Bill—Even If Pelosi And Trump Make A Deal
A bit from the article.
Without support from McConnell and at least some of his Republican caucus, no deal that the White House makes with Pelosi stands any reasonable chance of becoming law.
Meanwhile, this is going on, along with losing nearly 220,000 Americans, American citizens, to this COVID pandemic, their dying.
Researchers looked at the devastating financial effect the pandemic has had on Americans, with Blacks, Latinos and children faring the worst
Fortunately, here's yet another really great indication of how things are going at least in one state, if not nationally, too, for this President and the Republicans.
And more locally, in Kentucky, this looks like it might well be a great indication of how things are going for that state and for control of the Senate the next 4 years.
Then, this story broke in the last day.
He, Trump, said and did this earlier in the week.
During that state's worst wildfires in the state's history, he, Trump, this Republican Party President, turns down their, California's request for federal aid. There went California.
Then the Motormouth in Chief said this:
Finally today, this week, a GOP Senator himself came out against the Orange Man.
Suffice to say, ladies and gentlemen, things are not in any way going this President's way just now, nor is very much going the way of his/their political party. And thank goodness.
So thanks, Mr. President.
Thanks, Senator McConnell.
Thanks, Republicans.
Y'all are terrific.
Y'all are terrific.
Apparently, if the entire nation were multi-millionaires, you'd maybe, maybe do your jobs and do something for us.
While things seem to honestly be going poorly for this President and his political party, there conversely seem to be quite a few good things going for Joe Biden, his campaign and the Democrats.

Incredible Development Today, Sure to Sink This President's Reelection Chance
As with so many things of and about this President in the last 3-1/2 years, I can hardly believe what I'm reading today. This just broke.

Trump orders aides to halt talks on COVID-19 relief
He apparently, obviously no way realizes this will help sink his chances of reelection. He clearly seems to know nothing of our national election history showing that sitting Presidents virtually never get reelected in poor or bad economies.
In sharp contrast check out what someone else, aware and informed and adult but still from this administration has to say on this.
Powell warns of downward spiral of layoffs, recession without further coronavirus aid
Powell Urges More Stimulus From Congress, Citing ‘Strong But Incomplete’ Recovery
As proof of my claim for this article, check out the effect his, Trump's announcement is having on the markets.
Stocks drop after President Trump calls off stimulus talks
Biden Scores 14-Point Lead Over Trump in Poll After Debate
And note the source for that last story, last claim is from the very Right Wing, Republican Party supporting, ultra-conservative Wall Street Journal, too, folks.
It should be nearly all over but the crying for this President, folks. At least for him.
If not also his political party.
Thanks, Mr. President!
Vote!
And VOTE BLUE!!
