Third week of April, 2012
Snow last night in Philadelphia--they were forecast to get 6 to 8 inches of it. Meanwhile, about 80 warm degrees just North of San Francisco, 104 in Palm Springs and about 65 here for the high, in the middle of the country. Grateful, anyone?

Strange, isn't it ...
I live in what we call the 'lowlands' of WV (though the elevation is about 1,100 feet), & in my 58 years, this is the first winter I have ever seen here without snow! Up until about 1970, we used to get snow in November & it did not melt off until March.
Tomorrow, April 23, we are expected to get 2-4 inches (in the mountains just to the east 10-14 inches).
The climate is changing. We can argue about whether man is responsible, or not. But, everyone over 30 knows that it is changing.
I don't know where my snow shovel is, but since it will be 70 in three days, I may just let it melt off.
Hey, MO ...
Update: The expected snow did not fall, yet again, continuing our 'winter without snow'. Doppler shows some light snow, but its too warm, & its melting before it hits the ground.
If it's anything, it's crazy weather, that's for sure.
Thanks for the "heads up."
