Romney on guns: "Blah, blah, blah..." with a scoop of fear on the side
So Mitt Romney was in our own state today, in St. Louis, blathering on to the National Rifle Association (NRA) about how first, he's more for guns and the 2nd Amendment than the current president and second, that everyone in the audience needs to fear having this president re-elected because he'd have more shaping of the Supreme Court. This all gets so tiresome. First, this president has done nothing against gun rights and has never said or done anything negative about them. There is no way he's going near that stance. Second, selling fear from the Right Wing, ala' Karl Rove and Dick Cheney is so old and tired and pathetic, you'd think they'd eventually get over it yet there it is--more of it now, today. Real news would be standing up to these "all guns, all the time" people. Ol' Mittens is one totally uninspired, desperate candidate. The more he talks, the more it shows. Fortunately, there are at least some more educated people out there:
What's really unfortunate is still, repeatedly, the ugliness coming from the Right Wing and Republicans, as evidenced in this paramountly ignorant statement earlier this week: Santorum Donor Foster Friess Hopes Obama's 'Teleprompters Are Bulletproof' That is one sick follower. Trouble is, there's far too many of them out there in the country.
