The author is Steven Brill. I happened to see him in an interview with and by Charlie Rose on PBS. He rightly points out how there is no way anyone, any nation should have health care based on a Captitalistic, "free market" system. It results in what we have--that is, outrageously high health care costs and unreasonably high mortality rates and poor medical outcomes.

Absolutely true. We even have a Congress that mandates that Medicare/Medicaid NOT use its clout to get lower prices. DUMB.
Beyond dumb. Stupid. Irresponsible. Greedy. Heartless. Immoral. Certainly unchristian.
