Republicans show their true, ugly colors, part I
President Obama wanted to address the nation on creating jobs so he askedy asked John Boehner, first, if the original day and time was okay. Boehner had told them that yes, it was fine, earlier in that day. Boehner then went back and told other Republicans this and they apparently shut him and the president down because it would take attention away from their stupid, pointless, one-year-too-early political debate.
No president has ever had a request for an address to Congress turned down before. President Obama wants to talk about jobs and creating jobs. That's far more important than hearing the Republican candidates blather on now about what they'd do if they were elected.
The Republican Party shows, once again, that it's all about them and not the good of the country. They also showed their priorities. Their number one priority isn't help creating jobs for America. Their number one priority is themselves, no one else and the last thing they want to do in the next year is a) help create a healthy economy so that b) they help re-elect this president.
