Quote of the day
"The last two weeks of the Republican debates have seen audiences boo a soldier serving in Iraq, cheer for executions, and erupt with glee at the thought of an uninsured sick man dying. Every decent American should be ashamed of this, regardless of party affiliation." CD --From "The American Progressive Party" group on Facebook, yesterday. It's what the media wants you to hear, taken out of context like Howard Dean's scream. The booing was a tiny minority of the crowd manipulated in the same way.
And cheering was about freedom, while recognizing that freedom has costs. I want to be free to skydive, ride a motorcycle, smoke unfiltered cigarettes and other dangerous activities, even though motorcycling is really the only one of those I am interested in.
