Countdown to Trader Joe's
As a reminder, Trader Joe's opens here in town July 15. As a help, I thought I'd post this link I saw today on "The Best and Worst Products at Trader Joe's". I've got a serious jones for their pounder of SCHARFFEN BERGER 85% cacao. Ohhhhh mama!
Seriously, I think their opening will turn food retail upside down in town. I'd hate to have a wine store within 5 miles or so of the Ward Parkway location. I predict sharply lower sales for them. And Better Cheddar on the Plaza or in PV? I'd say they'll take a severe hit. Why go there--even if it is delicious and imported--when you can get such new, different and again, delicious imported stuff (cheeses, etc.) from Joe's?
