Broken KC water pipes, ad inifinitum

It seems there are two things this mayor and City Hall needs to get a handle on right now. The first is the annual shoot-fest in the city with the other being the water pipes that burst all across the city, underground. Driving this morning, I saw one on 31st Street, coming up the hill (East), between Southwest Boulevard and Southwest Trafficway and then another, one block South of 31st Street, right on Southwest Trafficway. Crazy.

Dear Mr. Kevin: Thanks for your post. I, too, am waiting for the mayor to address the crime issue--the bloodbath in the city's black neighborhoods in the past three years has been the "untouchable" topic of the KCMO political class--they are more afraid to talk about this homicide surge than the DC political class is afraid to talk about Social Security/Medicare. Denial is not the name of a river in Egypt. Sincerely and Respectfully, Ernest Evans

Dr. Evans,

Truly, I am rather stunned at Mayor James' inability to address the violence and shootings and killings in the city. I thought he knew it would be the issue this city needs to address more than anything, especially in the Summer.

Stay tuned, I guess. We have no choice but this is extremely disappointing, besides being surprising.

There was shooting on 31st street too, around Jackson.

A full service street in demonstrating the critical issues for the major.
