Good news on Libya

First this:

New cracks in Gadhafi regime as minister defects

AJDABIYA, Libya – The defection of Libya's foreign minister, a member of Moammar Gadhafi's inner circle, is the latest sign that the embattled regime is cracking at the highest levels as the West keeps up pressure on the longtime leader to relinquish power.

In the next paragraph, the give this, which I don't view as particularly good news but so be it:

In another blow to the regime, U.S. officials revealed Wednesday that the CIA has sent small teams of operatives into rebel-held eastern Libya while the White House debates whether to arm the opposition.

I'm not personally crazy about our CIA being in there but in the first place it's no surprise and secondly, who else can go in, since it can't be the Marines?

First the world community abandons you since, after all, you're blatanly killing your own people and now even his closer and formerly more loyal colleagues are--not surprisingly--bailing on him.  I'm sure this guy doesn't want to run the risk of being held for war crimes, later.

Next up is this bit, from the Colonel himself:

Gaddafi will stay in Libya "until the end": spokesman

And to this, Colonel, I would have to say, be careful what you wish for.  It looks as though this is going to happen sooner, rather than later.
