America, Your Vote and Voting Rights Are Being Devoured

Yes, Mr. and Mrs. America, the Republicans and their Republican Party know they're so deeply umpopular with Americans across the nation, they have to make it tougher to the point of impossible for us, fellow taxpaying American citizens to vote.

This cannot stand. We cannot allow this. It's un-American and un-democratic. We must stop it, all of it, state to state across the nation. Vote them all out. Push to have Congress end the filibuster and pass the For the People Act so NO POLITICAL PARtY can gerrymander voting districts any longer. Please contact your Senators.Let's do this.

The Outrage of Republican Party Vote Suppression

I can't get over the fact that not only are members of the Republican Party actively, publicly working to disenfranchise fellow American citizens presently, but it's reported they're doing it IN 47 STATES. (Click on picture for larger, easier viewing and reading).

We must realize this, America, and then actively work to end even any ATTEMPTS at vote suppression, to stop it. Discenfranchising fellow Americans is as un-American and anti-Democratic as anyone can get. Stop vote suppression. End racism.

From NPR today: The same day last month that Georgia's legislature passed a controversial new voting bill, Missouri's Republican-led House approved one of its own. It would impose strict photo ID and other requirements on voting. Both bills are part of a wave of measures proposed across the country after the 2020 elections, and reflect a deep partisan divide over who has access to the polls and how. The divide is not new, but the sides have become increasingly entrenched.

Understand, folks. The Republicans and their ideas and work is so very unpopular with the rest of us out here in America that they have found the only way they can get or stay in government offie is to HAVE FEWER AMERICANS VOTE. They are actively working, now in 47 states, to disenfranchise fellow working, tax paying American citizens, voters. This cannot stand. We mustn't allow this. Call your government representatives. Tell them to support HR1 in the House and S1 in the Senate. We must stop all attempts at vote suppression.

Seven very white men get in a room---under a picture of a slaveholding plantation, no less---to sign a very racist government bill that actually disenfranchises fellow Americans all the while also literally locking out a Black female legislator so she can't watch the bill be signed.

Republican Party Priorities

There's only one political party in the nation that is so patently, provenly bad and unpopular that they have to--and do--actively disenfranchise fellow American citizens.

Require background checks for all weapons purchases, coast to coast, for mental stability and criminal history.

Put back into effect the Assault Weapons Ban.Require a waiting period for weapons purchases. Simple, important things we need to do as a nation. Oh, and vote out Republicans. For sure.

Jared Kushner clarifies after saying he’s ‘not sure’ he can commit to date for presidential election

Here's what happened.

Senior White House adviser Jared Kushner raised eyebrows Tuesday by suggesting that there was uncertainty about whether the presidential election would happen in November as scheduled because of the coronavirus pandemic and that he had some role in making that determination.

Whose election is this, anyway? His?  His father-in-law's? Fortunately, there was response to this insanity.

Hours after his remarks to Time magazine generated a strong reaction on social media, Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law, issued a clarification, saying he was unaware of and not involved in any “discussions” about changing the date of the 2020 election.

Just how completely unfamiliar is Mr. Kushner, anyway, on our elections and laws? He apparently thought that, because he heads up this President's coronavirus task force that he's suddenly in charge of our election(s), too?

Anyway, this is to say we need to be aware, we need to be paying attention and we can't let obscenities be taking place in the nation regarding our elections, specifically this one coming up in November. So far, the following has already taken place.

This guy, no doubt a Right Winger and Republican, is asking the Supreme Court to let the electors in the Electoral College actually completely disregard laws that tell those electors to BACK THE CANDIDATE WHO PREVAILS IN THEIR STATE's POPULAR ELECTION.

Because why should our votes count, right? They've gerrymandered the nation. That wasn't enough, they added very racist voter ID laws that disenfranchise minorities, the elderly, the physically-challenged, the poor and elderly, now this.

George Carlin was right, so right. The game is rigged. And it isn't rigged for you and me, folks.

Then we're all very familiar with the Republicans' fighting to keep Americans from voting by mail, in spite of this current very deadly pandemic.
