This news broke today, this morning.

to end Obamacare

More insanity. Yet more insanity from this bizarre, reckless, even dangerous President.

During the most killing international pandemic in over 100 years, this Republican Party President Trump wants to cut Americans off from healthcare by ending Obamacare.

The heck of it is, I can't even imagine for whom, for what base, he's doing this. I don't think his supporters are out there in large numbers, calling for this, an end to Obamacare.

Does it simply come down to his wanting to defeat all things his predecessor accomplished? 

Is it that simple?

Tell us how this isn't oligarchy and plutocracy, both.

Fortunately, there is this.

And it only takes 4 Republicans defecting to kill it. There's no telling how many more won't be able to back it, as word of this nightmare gets out.

One last note. Check out what happened at the very cowardly and heartless Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's office today, too.

This is not going to go well. It's not going to go well for them. How every Republican in Congress isn't already running from this thing, this health care nightmare, is anyone's guess.

I will be very, very surprised if this bill of theirs, the Republicans, isn't DOA.

The number of Americans without health insurance hit an all-time high in 2006. Nearly 44 million people (close to 17% of Americans) lacked even the most basic coverage, meaning they'd have to pay full price for any health treatment, from annual checkups to prescription medications.

Today, more Americans have health insurance than ever before.

Since the Affordable Care Act went into effect, an additional 10 million people who would have previously had to pay full price for any health treatment can now afford an annual checkup, eye glasses, or birth control pills.

So here's what the number of uninsured looks like now, nationally:

Note that not only are far fewer Americans now uninsured but also, tragically, the most Americans are still uninsured in "red", Republican, Right Wing states.

Some people just refuse to learn. Or let someone help them.

All this while McCain kind of explodes with declarations that we should, figuratively, go kick some Russky butt, over in Georgia. There's some level-headed thinking.
