Promises to be an important documentary to see

And since it's on PBS, it doesn't cost you to rent the video:

When my brother, Mark was less then ten years old, he told the landlady that he wanted to go to college. She told him that he couldn't go to college because he was JUST a renter's son. When he graduated, he only purchased one announcement & sent it to her. She has no idea how much her one casual, stupid statement motivated him. He is justifiably proud of being the first college graduate from our extended family.

When the rich & the middle class look down their noses at the poor, they are only diminishing themselves.

Good for him, on all counts.

Now it makes a great story to be retold, too.

Thanks.
