The next movie we need to see
George Lucas is releasing his next big film this month. It is "Red Tails" and it is the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, the African-American pilots in the Air Force in World War II. It's an important story that needs to be told and known by Americans, first. It's also important to know that Hollywood didn't want to back Mr. Lucas on this film since he wanted to do it with, appropriately, an all-black cast.
One of the things the film points out is the great, courageous work these soldier pilots did, fighting for our country, only to, yet again, come home to the horrible racism here in the States they fought for.
Finally, it should be both a well-done film, since it is, after all, a George Lucas production and a World War II action film. He also says he has two more movies worth of footage for it and that they're even better than this movie. Here's hoping.
