Yes sir and ma'am! Check out this fantastic news today: Record number of people now identifying as Democrats while GOP backing slumps. A double whammy of good news.

Democrats up, Republicans, understandably, down. More: The nine-point boost to Democrats is the largest since 2012. And the thing is, the Republicans are, thank goodness, doing it to themselves. They have wildly unpopular ideas for our people and nation and then, those ideas and the political party are so bad, so poor, so unpopular, they want to do all they can to disenfranchse us, keep us from voting or being able to vote, fellow taxpaying citiaens just so they can either get or stay in government office.

Fantastic, I tell you. Excellent. There are nothing but good words for these developments. Good on you, Americans, America. You can see these people for just precisely who and what they are. Kudos, y'all. Keep up the great, great work. Oh, and end vote suppression. And the filibuster---end the filibuster.Then, support the For the People Act and the American Jobs Plan. Let's do this! All of it!

GOP Govs' Popularity Plummets

New York--Less than a year after a cadre of Republican firebrands swept into statehouses from Ohio to Florida to Wisconsin, voters are turning on them.

Well, let's see, if you slash worker's benefits and try to do away with medicare while trying, again and again to keep giving big tax cuts to the already-wealthy, etc., etc., what do you think is going to happen?

Let's just hope it sticks through next year, at least.

Obama's approval rating surges in new poll

A little more than a week after the death of Osama bin Laden, President Obama's approval rating his hit a two-year high in a new Associated Press/GfK poll.

According to the poll, which was released this morning, 60 percent of those surveyed now approve of the job Obama is doing as president.

That's an increase of seven points since March, and marks the highest number Obama has posted since May 2009.

More than half of those surveyed—53 percent--believe Obama deserves to be re-elected in 2012, a slight uptick since earlier this year.

It won't last and it's too soon and it's for all the wrong reasons but hey, we'll take it.
