This Republican Party President--and What He's Not Doing

So thi is where we stand now with this Republican Party President. He's fighting, still fighting to ignore our vote, our votes, our election and to deny our Democracy. But he's also doing this now, today.

Trump skipped a coronavirus meeting with G20 leaders to play golf

It's unreal.  I mean it is literally unreal. This guy keeps getting away with so much.

This, then, is what it boils down to now. This is what needs to happen.

Republican leaders swore an oath to defend the Constitution. That means telling Trump it’s over.

So how about it, Republicans? We're in the worst, most killing, deadly international pandemic in the last more than 100 years and this man, this president Trump of yours is clearly not doing his job. Worse, far worse, he's trying to ignore or deny our election.

We've had enough. Go. Talk to him. Tell him. It's over. We're done. We have to move on. For the nation's security, for our national security, we have to get this done. He's got to go. For once in his life, he has to be a mature, responsible adult and face the music, face this responsibility and reality.

This President Steps Into it Again

Did you see his post today, this morning?

I know many in business and politics that work out endlessly, in some cases to a point of exhaustion. It is their number one passion in life, but nobody complains. My “exercise” is playing, almost never during the week, a quick round of golf. Obama played more and much longer rounds, no problem. When I play, Fake News CNN, and others, park themselves anywhere they can to get a picture, then scream “President Trump is playing golf.” Actually, I play VERY fast, get a lot of work done on the golf course, and also get a “tiny” bit of exercise. Not bad!

Except...

Wow.

Except the facts.

Not only did President Obama play less, far less golf than Mr. Trump, he also didn't fly Air Force One to his hotel---because he didn't own any---and then bill the US Government for the Secret Service to play at his golf course and resort/hotel.

Trump’s Golf Trips Could Cost Taxpayers

Over $340 Million

And that President Obama comparison he makes?

He has got some outrageous nerve here.

He isn't even smart enough to not bring this up.  As I've noted and said before, this man, this excuse for a President isn't even smart enough to be still, to be quiet, to not say anything at times.

Thanks, as ever and once again, Republicans.

Response Number Two to Trump's Attack On the People of Puerto Rico Today

This second one is from political commentator, professor, and author, Robert ReichHe served in the administrations of Presidents Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter and was Secretary of Labor under President Bill Clinton.

The disaster in Puerto Rico continues unabated, and the response from the Trump administration is woefully inadequate. So what does Trump do? He spends another weekend at his golf resort in New Jersey, and blames the messengers.

Trump’s first target this morning was Yulín Cruz, the mayor of San Juan Puerto Rico: "The Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to Trump," he tweeted just after 7 a.m. Trump then turned to the news media: "Fake News CNN and NBC are going out of their way to disparage our great First Responders as a way to 'get Trump.' Not fair to FR or effort!," He followed that tweet up with: "The Fake News Networks are working overtime in Puerto Rico doing their best to take the spirit away from our soldiers and first R's. Shame!" Trump did all of that before 8 a.m. on the East Coast.

Our morally disabled president is incapable of hearing criticism, even when human lives are at stake.
