The Big Questions and Concerns Once Trump Loses and is Gone

 

Okay, once this President Trump is no longer President next year, there arises a very new and very real concern and possible if not actually likely scenario and problem for us, for the nation.

To what kind of insanity will we, the people and nation, be exposed?

And then, as President, Trump knows and is aware of some of our nation's tightest and potentially most important secrets, national secrets, national security secrets.

He's shown himself to be just exactly who he is and that virtually anything and everything is up for grabs--and for sale--in his life, in his world.

It's known he owes 421 million dollars. We just don't know to whom.

Is it Russians? Is it Russian mob bosses?

Again, we don't know to whom he owes this nearly half a billion dollars.

For the first time in our nation's history, I think we have to, nationally, somehow see to his, then-ex- President Donald Trump's silence.  

And I don't mean anything lethal or ugly, not at all. We just have to protect the nation, ourselves.

But how do we make certain this man Trump doesn't sell off any national information in order to save himself?

Then, what assurance do we have that, during this transition phase from that November 4 to January 20, once it's known he's lost, who and what will keep him in control even emotionally but especially in his actions on our nation? It seems no one in his political party is up to the task, at least to date.

These are a very real problems. And they're coming up quickly, very, very soon.

I just saw these two today. First up:

I feel strongly Mr. Mueller and his investigation may already have Mr. Trump, legally.

The Donald is in way, way over his head.

I don't think he's bright enough to know or realize or accept it, either.

"Here are the seven distinct stages of collusion denial I've identified:"

1. November 2016: No communications, period

Hope Hicks: “It never happened. There was no communication between the campaign and any foreign entity during the campaign.”

2. February 2017: There were no communications, “to the best of our knowledge”

Sarah Huckabee Sanders: “This is a non-story because, to the best of our knowledge, no contacts took place.”

3. March 2017: There were communications, but no planned meetings with Russians

Donald Trump Jr.: “Did I meet with people that were Russian? I'm sure, I'm sure I did. ... But none that were set up. None that I can think of at the moment. And certainly none that I was representing the campaign in any way, shape or form.”

4. July 8, 2017: There was a planned meeting at Trump Tower, but it was “primarily” about adoption and not the campaign

Trump Jr.: “We primarily discussed a program about the adoption of Russian children that was active and popular with American families years ago and was since ended by the Russian government, but it was not a campaign issue at that time and there was no follow-up.”

5. July 9, 2017: The meeting was planned to discuss the campaign, but the information exchanged wasn't “meaningful”

Trump Jr.: “No details or supporting information was provided or even offered. It quickly became clear that she had no meaningful information.”

6. December 2017: Collusion isn't even a crime

President Trump: “There is no collusion, and even if there was, it’s not a crime.”

Jay Sekulow: “For something to be a crime, there has to be a statute that you claim is being violated. There is not a statute that refers to criminal collusion. There is no crime of collusion.”

7. May 2018: Even if meaningful information were obtained, it wasn't used

Giuliani: “And even if it comes from a Russian, or a German, or an American, it doesn’t matter. And they never used it, is the main thing. They never used it. They rejected it. If there was collusion with the Russians, they would have used it.”

Donald Trump Even Scares People on the Right

From none other than the extreme Right Winger himself, Erick Erickson, yesterday in the Washington Post.

"The president exudes incompetence and instability. Divulging classified information to the Russians through bragging; undermining his staff’s defense of his conduct through inane tweets; even reportedly asking the FBI director to suspend an investigation of a former adviser — all these strike me not so much as malicious but as the ignorant actions of an overwhelmed man. Republicans excuse this behavior as Trump being Trump, but that will only embolden voters who seek greater accountability to choose further change over stability. The sad reality is that the greatest defense of the president available at this point is one his team could never give on the record: He is an idiot who does not know any better."

The Quickly Developing Presidential, Constitutional Saga That Is Donald Trump

It's getting so it's tough to keep up with all that's happening, all that's unraveling from and out of this White House and administration. It's nearly dizzying. Check out this brief analysis of the last 18 hours or so:

"So last night a story breaks that Trump gave classified information to the Russians. Trump sends all his top staff people out to deny it, say it's a dirty lie. Then this morning Trump sends out tweets saying that he did give classified information to the Russians and explains why. No information yet on whether his staff will continue to deny it."
