At the Start of the RNC, Things are not Going Well for the Trumpster
Yes, there have been, are some developments this morning and in the last day or two, both, just before the start of this Republican National Convention. And virtually all of them are---darn it---not good for this Republican Party Donald Trump or his group. Here's the first. It's my favorite. Just broke this morning.
27 former Republican members of Congress announce they'll support Joe Biden over Trump
Jeff Flake, 27 Other Ex-GOP Congress Members Endorse Biden
How great is that?
Yet more Republicans bailing on this psychotic President.
Next up is this from a conservative commentator. It came out yesterday.
The Biden administration needs to pursue every Trump appointee accused of perjury: conservative
According to the never-Trumper, the first thing the new administration needs to do is open up to the public “all documents the Trump administration previously withheld from congressional subpoenas.”
This one is partially good for tearing down this President's reelection attempt and to likely also tear down his political party but if this man, this buffoon, should, God and heavens forbid, actually be reelected?
- First, I don't think any political party has ever done this in the history of our nation and for good reason.
- Second, this kind of thing happens in Communist countries and dictatorships and banana republics. This doesn't take place in Democracies. It sure as heck doesn't happen here in America. At least, it didn't take place in America until now, with this man, this Donald Trump and his own personal political party.
- Third, I and a lot of us out here are just personally hoping it helps just destroy his reelection campaign and their political party. Once again, proof positive he can no way be reelected, for the good and betterment of the nation, no exaggeration or overstatement.
- Finally on this, if this isn't the epitome of a despot and despotism, what is?

Look Out, Kansas City. It's On Our Way In Spite of What This President Says Or Wants You to Think
It seems the coronavirus spread is on its way to the heartland, even if this Republican Party President Trump doesn't want to admit it.

And yes, Kansas City is on the list.
A bit of the article.
Coronavirus infection rates are spiking to new highs in several metropolitan areas and smaller communities across the country, according to undisclosed data the White House's pandemic task force is using to track rates of infection, which was obtained by NBC News.
The data in a May 7 coronavirus task force report are at odds with President Donald Trump's declaration Monday that "all throughout the country, the numbers are coming down rapidly."
On a separate list of "locations to watch," which didn't meet the precise criteria for the first set: Charlotte, North Carolina; Kansas City, Missouri; Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska; Minneapolis; Montgomery, Alabama; Columbus, Ohio; and Phoenix. The rates of new cases in Charlotte and Kansas City represented increases of more than 200 percent over the previous week, and other tables included in the data show clusters in neighboring counties that don't form geographic areas on their own, such as Wisconsin's Kenosha and Racine counties, which neighbor each other between Chicago and Milwaukee.
So far, more than 80,000 people in the U.S. have died because of the coronavirus, and the rate of new cases overall hasn't yet subsided. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that there were 23,792 new cases on Sunday — lower than the number for each of the previous four days but more than on May 4 and May 5.
Thanks, Mr. President.
Thanks, Republicans.

Entertainment Overnight: Why People Support Donald Trump
SNL got it at least partly right.
Think there's no truth to it? By sheer, total, absolute coincidence, this article appeared today, this morning on MSN's news line.

SNL Nails This Impeachment Trial, Mitch McConnell and Alan Dershowitz
A fantastic skewering last night from, of course, Saturday Night Live. The guy doing Mitch McConnell has him dead-on.
Thank God and goodness for SNL and satire.
And now, back to our regularly scheduled insanity and absurdities.

What This President Is Concerned With Today
This, of all things in the world today, just this moment, is what's concerning the person who is supposed to be the leader of our nation and the Western world. He tweeted the following this morning.
Donald J. Trump

Following Following @realDonaldTrump
Alec Baldwin, whose dying mediocre career was saved by his terrible impersonation of me on SNL, now says playing me was agony. Alec, it was agony for those who were forced to watch. Bring back Darrell Hammond, funnier and a far greater talent!
A Saturday Night Live comedian/actor, instead.

Eric Greitens' and the Republicans' Missouri
With our new, "pretty boy" Governor Eric Greitens and his Republican pals in Jefferson City having had a special session so they could rule further on womens' and couples' reproductive rights---them with their "small government" and all---I thought of them with this video, rather naturally. How perfect.
They'll deny any of it if they recognize themselves in any way.
Pitiful.
Pathetic.
Painful.
Sexist.
Pretty fascist, too, really.

Entertainment Overnight -- The Next Presidential Administration
Because the fact is, these two would, in reality, be far, far better in the White House than the present occupant.

Entertainment Overnight - New
I was only just introduced to Sturgill Simpson and his band last Saturday Evening after having seen their performance on Saturday Night Live. I liked the rock and roll I saw there but this is another really nice one, completely unlike their two pieces that night.

President Trump --- Shudder
At least, if we're going to have four years of President Donald Trump--and it looks as though we are--at least give us four years, also, of Alec Baldwin playing him, mocking him for all those 4 years, also.
Please, if there's a God and Heaven, at least give us that.

SNL Was Powerful Last Night
If nothing else came out of the show but their "cold open" and the opening monologue, they outdid themselves.
Have a good week, y'all and heaven help us.

Great Lampooning of The Donald and BusTED, both
From last night's Saturday Night Live.
Terrific satire.
Enjoy your Sunday, y'all.

Amy Schumer and SNL Take On 'Merika and Our Guns
More people need to do this. More people need to publicly come out and mock America and Americans on our guns---the quantity and widespread, rather insane use of them in this country.
