A Pretty Terrific Kansas City Sports Year

The odds of winning the World Series are 1 - 30. After 162 games, one team will have one more win than another, & yet, the fan boys will argue about which team is better.
The odds of winning the Super Bowl are 1 -32. With only 16 games, no one can go undefeated, & yet, the fan boys will argue about which team is better.
The odds of winning both in the same year are 1 - 960.
Most people don't understand probability. You can see this with their use of the word 'luck'. If you win two years in a row, you have NOT been lucky & beaten the odds. If you don't win in a hundred years, it still does not mean that the probabilities are wrong.
All of the above just underscores how stupid it is to gamble on sports, or to get terribly excited about winning.
