Kansas City Chiefs fans hit new low

There's been a controversial issue for years for and about Kansas City NFL football fans, what with their repeated ending of the national anthem with "...and the home of the Chiefs!" instead of the actual "...and the home of the brave" as they should.

Then, there's been the fact that they did the "tomahawk chop", which was considered disrespectful of Native Americans.

But all that went out the window today when Chiefs fans in the stadium outdid themselves.

When quarterback Matt Cassel was hit in the game today against the Baltimore Ravens, suffering a concussion, too many in the audience broke out in a stadium-rattling cheer.

Tacky.

Truly a new low.

I was at that game, and that is crap. They cheered when he got up, and they cheered when Quinn came in. If 10 fans were cheering for the injury don't blame it on the entire fanbase.

Well, if true, that's certainly a different take on the response and not what the Star and everyone else is reporting. I hope you're right and naturally have no reason to think otherwise since I wasn't there. It's good to hear. I hope others come forward and say the same thing.
