"The longest war ever, fought by the smallest amount of our population--one-half of one percent." --from KCUR 89.3 FM and NPR's program "Talk of the Nation" earlier today: "The Impact of War: Soldiers Say It's Hard to Return to Civilian Life". And our longest war ever, too. Tell me, what part of this makes any sense at all?
