It seems only one thing each needs to be said on these two big topics pending right now. The first, on Baby Lisa is that we shouldn't jump to any conclusions about anything on this subject. We have no idea what happened, let alone who's at fault. In typical human fashion, so many people are emotionally being very judgemental about this whole affair and it serves no good purpose. Hopefully baby Lisa will be found--and soon--safe and sound. I doubt it strongly but that's all that matters. Secondly, on Bishop Finn's charges--if you read the timeline alone from the Star on this last Saturday's edition when the news broke, it seems obvious that the Bishop didn't respond to these accusation AT ALL for at least 5 months. I'm not judging really but I have to say, he certainly seems guilty, by these reports. Stay tuned.

"oh, I forgot to tell you I lied about the time and I was drunk.".... it just gets weirder and weirder...
It really does. That's so true. Last evevning, one tv station reported that "Mom" said she drank 5 glasses of wine ("But no, I wasn't drunk.") while a 2nd station reported she said she had 10. Yikes.
And like a woman on Facebook said yesterday, first she says she put the child down at 10:30 pm (I have a daughter and for a 6 month old, that seems late), then she takes it back and says she actually put her down at 6:30.
Okay, clearly she's proven herself to be a liar at least twice and then, secondly, 6:30 pm to put a child down for the night? Are you kidding me? That is really early.
Anyway, I go back to my initial entry: we shouldn't get emotional about it--and too many people are--and let's not assume anyone's gilty, in spite of what I just said, above, until everything comes out.
That said, it doesn't look good, that's for sure. Unless someone REALLY wanted a baby--their baby--and they somehow got in, got the child and got out and is now taking care of it as their own and that child is found, it just doesn't look good for baby Lisa. Here's hoping.
Yes, these 2 topics are very much the same in one way. They are about the safety of kids.
But we do not know what happened to Baby Lisa.
Yet, Bishop Finn has publicly admitted to his wrongdoings.
The truth needs to be exposed, in order for kids to be protected today.

I certainly agree that both of these are about the safety of our children, sure, but Bishop Finn publicly admitting to his wrongdoings isn't the same as his pleading not guilty to the charges now before him, the court and the church, that's for sure.
Even if he's found not guilty--which I hope he's not since he was so derelict in his duty--it seems now the Catholic Church might finally put it's children's safety ahead of the clergy's desire to avoid prosecution. We'll see.
