Imagine for a Moment You're Donald Trump Just Now

Imagine for a moment you're Donald Trump just now. Yeah, I know. Sorry. Anyway, you're facing the following-- You have your back against the wall and in a couple ways--
  • New York State is investigating your taxes in at least 2 different cases, for possible fraud
  • Ireland is also investigating your for your taxes so that's international problems, too
  • He likely, apparently owes, reportedly, nearly, if not actually 1 billion dollars to who knows who,and then finally,
  • There's anything and everything he may be investigated for and possibly found guilty while he was President.
He's reportedly now turning on his Vice President and virtually, if not actually, everyone.

A bit from the article:

“President Trump, in his final days, is turning bitterly on virtually every person around him, griping about anyone who refuses to indulge conspiracy theories or hopeless bids to overturn the election,” Axios reports.

“Targets of his outrage include Vice President Pence, chief of staff Mark Meadows, White House counsel Pat Cipollone, Secretary of State Pompeo and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.”

“Trump thinks everyone around him is weak, stupid or disloyal — and increasingly seeks comfort only in people who egg him on to overturn the election results. We cannot stress enough how unnerved Trump officials are by the conversations unfolding inside the White House.”

So happy holidays, y'all. Think happy thoughts.

There's a vaccine on the way and this Presidency and 2020 are both nearly over.

Did you see this yet?

My sister sent this to me today. I hadn't seen it yet.

Notice it was done by Karl Rove's American Crossroads.

What kills me is that either uninformed or paranoid, insecure people would be worried or bothered by it.

That said, I liked the music.

A song dedication to the Right Wing

And to all "Conservatives" and Republicans and Libertarians and Tea Party members and all the rest of them/you out there who think the world or the country is coming to an end because we have a Black President:

The paranoid will love this

Check this out--I found it late last evening: Microsoft Patents GPS with Crime-Stats And sure, that's one thing but look what they say it can do for you: "Microsoft has been awarded a patent for a new GPS feature that helps the user avoid dangerous neighborhoods." The article goes on to say: "There is a chance that some residents may object to Microsoft labeling their neighborhoods as dangerous or unsafe." Gee, you think? Can you imagine how groups and organizations and whole neighborhoods are going to react to this? Let the cynical, sarcastic and racist jokes begin. Tired, tired, tired

I am so incredibly tired of the ugliness and negativity and pessimism--too much of it unfounded--along with the baseless paranoia rampant in the world today. Maybe it's just the United States. Between people who haven't paid attention to the local, regional, state, national and international situations, along with the fear of the country failing or falling, coupled with the outright fear of something as simple as having a president of a different race as them who isn't on their own intellectual level, is it any wonder so many are confused? If you haven't known what's going on for the previous decade and suddenly you find yourself--and your nation--in a bit of trouble--financial, mostly--it's no wonder people are scared. Sadly, they lash out. Some just verbally. Others, physically. Uninformed? Yes, frequently. Sincere? All too frequently.

Enough!

As I stated earlier here, the United States puts more money every year into defense spending than any other nation on the planet.

And we beat everyone else out BIG TIME.

We spend approximately $713 billion dollars annually on this crap.

Who's number 2?

It's a shocker, really.

The entire EU.

And even then, they are all back at $311 billion dollars annually.

Did you think it was going to be China?

It's not.

All that money and materiel could and should go to far more intelligent and logical needs in the country and world.

Think of what it could go for.

--Health care.

--Schools.

--Vocational education (for students who aren't as good at the fine arts but are good with their hands).

--Infrastructure.

--Solar technology.

So much more and better things it could attend to.

But no, we want to--and do--build ships and bombs and bullets and guns and planes, instead.

Stupid.

Truly stupid.

And wasteful.

And paranoid.

Think of it.

Why is the United States still in Aviano, Italy?

That is SO World War II.

And Okinawa, Japan? (To defend against Korea and China, right).

And Germany?

Germany? Are you kidding me? Does anyone really think any longer that tanks are going to start rumbling from Russia--or what was Russia--into Eastern and Western Europe?

As a people, we need to push our government and our officials to start thinking anew about all this. We need to stop fighting 40-year old wars.

And we need to stop feeding the corporate war machines.
