Scientific American Endorses Joe Biden
"Scientific American has never endorsed a presidential candidate in its 175-year history. This year we are compelled to do so. We do not do this lightly.
The evidence and the science show that Donald Trump has badly damaged the U.S. and its people—because he rejects evidence and science. The most devastating example is his dishonest and inept response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which cost more than 190,000 Americans their lives by the middle of September. He has also attacked environmental protections, medical care, and the researchers and public science agencies that help this country prepare for its greatest challenges. That is why we urge you to vote for Joe Biden, who is offering fact-based plans to protect our health, our economy and the environment. These and other proposals he has put forth can set the country back on course for a safer, more prosperous and more equitable future."
So along with the fact that this is the first sitting President in the history of the nation to have members of HIS OWN POLITICAL PARTY not just oppose him but for four--count them, four--different groups of people from, again, his own political party, to form formal, funded organizations to see that he's defeated, now a group of American scientists come out for the first time in their organization's history, to defeat this same President.
With the fact that billionaire Michael Bloomberg is spending 100 million dollars, also, to defeat him, Trump, in Florida, things look good for the nation, for the people.

The owners and editors sit around jacking each other off and saying "I hate Trump", repeatedly.
Think what you like, I guess, however incorrect.
Scientific American never took a stand in a presidential election before because they wanted to stay out of politics and because they didn't want to alienate any otherwise supporters or readers.
As their endorsement now shows and as they stated, they realize it's far too important to take this stand, for Biden, because this sitting President denies science, time and again and is, therefore, dangerous.
Like it or not. Agree or not.
