On this day...

On Jan. 22, 1973, the Supreme Court handed down its Roe vs. Wade decision, which legalized abortion. And they've been legal, thank goodness--and for good reason--ever since. The Republicans and Right Wing should have long since been "over it."

Check out the book, "Freakenomics". Chapter 4: The role legalized abortion has played in reducing crime.

Highly controversial I know, but thought provoking none the less.

Yes, but on the flip side, that book and its findings have been discounted by other authorities and scientists as really horribly racist for that very point.
