Republicans Were Already Suppressing American Votes Back in 2012
Check out this memory I found today from back in 2012.
None other than a former GOP Party Chair Jim Greer revealed the details of conversations his fellow GOP colleagues had about changing election laws to suppress youth and minority voters that would "never vote Republican." And now, as we know, it's gotten much, much worse, their vote suppression work and efforts. We must vote them out. We must vote them all out. And to do it, we have to, have to stop vote suppression, on the state and federal level, both.

Republicans' Real "Cancel Culture"
Here it is, folks. In all its ugliness. (Click on picture for larger view, easier reading).
Vote them out. Vote them all out.

The Outrage of Republican Party Vote Suppression
I can't get over the fact that not only are members of the Republican Party actively, publicly working to disenfranchise fellow American citizens presently, but it's reported they're doing it IN 47 STATES. (Click on picture for larger, easier viewing and reading).
We must realize this, America, and then actively work to end even any ATTEMPTS at vote suppression, to stop it. Discenfranchising fellow Americans is as un-American and anti-Democratic as anyone can get. Stop vote suppression. End racism.

Be Aware, Missourians---Republicans In Jeff City Are Also Working on Vote Suppression Here
From NPR today: The same day last month that Georgia's legislature passed a controversial new voting bill, Missouri's Republican-led House approved one of its own. It would impose strict photo ID and other requirements on voting.
Both bills are part of a wave of measures proposed across the country after the 2020 elections, and reflect a deep partisan divide over who has access to the polls and how. The divide is not new, but the sides have become increasingly entrenched.
Understand, folks. The Republicans and their ideas and work is so very unpopular with the rest of us out here in America that they have found the only way they can get or stay in government offie is to HAVE FEWER AMERICANS VOTE. They are actively working, now in 47 states, to disenfranchise fellow working, tax paying American citizens, voters. This cannot stand. We mustn't allow this. Call your government representatives. Tell them to support HR1 in the House and S1 in the Senate. We must stop all attempts at vote suppression.

Don't Be Fooled -- Republicans Are Trying to Disenfranchise Fellow American Citizens
Remember, everyone. Keep in mind, the Republican Party and their ideas for us all are so very unpopular, they have to keep more of us from voting so they can get and stay in political office, in power. And they're trying to do it in 43 of the US states currently. They can't get any more un-American than that. This is, after all, supposed to be "representative government."
"Former Wall Street Journal correspondent Douglas Blackmon wrote a tremendously clear thread on Twitter spelling out how the Georgia law, for example, makes it illegal for Georgia voting officials to send absentee applications to each voter, and makes it harder to get absentee ballots. It eliminates most drop boxes for ballots, as well, and makes it harder for working people to vote." --Heather Cox Richardson

Republican Party Vote Suppression
They just won't quit. All for the political party, people, nation and Democracy be damned.
They're unrelenting. Of course, they're desperate.
We have to stop them. We have to stop this. Nothing is any more racist or systemically racist than this.
They don't have any views the majority of Americans support so they work on more of this. It's deeply un-American.
We mustn't let them do this. We mustn't let them disenfranchise still more Americans. We must take back the vote. We must.

On Republicans Disenfranchising Fellow American Citizens So They Win Elections
“American democracy means every eligible person has the right to vote in an election that is fair, open, and secure. Our goal always should be to increase, not decrease, voter participation.” —Former President Jimmy Carter

We Must Outlaw Gerrymandering and Voter ID Laws
Republicans don't feel they've gerrymandered enough or put into place enough voter ID laws and disenfranchised enough Americans. They want to do it still more, after this last election they lost.
We must stop them. We must not allow it. It's un-American.

Republicans Lost In This Election -- So What Are They Doing?
They are trying to disenfranchise as many American votes and voters as they can.
That is, ladies and gentlemen, they, Republicans, are trying to make sure that fewer and fewer of us can and do vote. They are trying to take away our vote. It's the only way they can get into office and then stay there. The fewer of us that can vote, the more likely Republicans can gain and keep office. Most usually, this is done by disenfranchising the votes of minorities, Blacks and Hispanics and Latinx citizens and voters.
Already this year, 106 bills have been introduced in 28 states—including 17 under complete GOP control, where passage is more likely—to undermine access to the franchise. According to the Brennan Center's report, "These proposals primarily seek to: (1) limit mail voting access; (2) impose stricter voter ID requirements; (3) limit successful pro-voter registration policies; and (4) enable more aggressive voter roll purges."
"These bills," the report argues, "are an unmistakable response to the unfounded and dangerous lies about fraud that followed the 2020 election."
...The GOP has been trying to undercut efforts to expand voting access for years. "A decade ago," Berman wrote, "Republicans passed new voter ID laws and other efforts to curtail voting rights when they took power in the states following [former President] Barack Obama's election."
But now, he added, "Republicans are taking their assault on voting rights to the next level." Like the Brennan Center, Berman attributed the surge in anti-democracy legislation to Trump's failed bid to subvert the will of the people in last year's election.
According to Berman, the GOP is "trying to accomplish through legislation what Trump couldn't with litigation. All in all, these efforts amount to the most concerted attempts to roll back voting rights since the passage of the Voting Rights Act in 1965."
Our path forward this moment:
"Democrats have a clear choice. They can get rid of the filibuster to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and the For the People Act to stop GOP voter suppression, or they can allow the GOP to undermine democracy for the next decade."
"Democrats have a clear choice. They can get rid of the filibuster to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and the For the People Act to stop GOP voter suppression, or they can allow the GOP to undermine democracy for the next decade."
We have to stop this. We have to stop them. We can't let them take our vote, our votes. We can't let them disenfranchise Americans. We can't let them steal elections any more than any other political party should be able to.

Taking Disenfranchisement to a Whole New Level
Breaking today.
Judge denies GOP lawsuit to halt certification of Detroit election results
Gerrymandering wasn't enough for RepublicansSo they added "voter ID" laws.
That wasn't enough. Republicans felt they didn't disenfranchise enough Americans, taxpaying, voting American citizens.
So now they want to completely ignore or disavow our vote, our votes, our election. They've taken it all to a whole very new, ugly, higher level with this most recent Presidential election. Very, very, very un-American.
