Only 5 More Days of this Orange Mess of a President

Only 5 more days to tolerate this orange President and his administration, thank goodness. And in the midst of all this, everything around him is falling apart, virtually, if not actually.

Here's how things stand for Republican Party President and soon to be regular citizen Donald J Trump now.
  • He was just impeached for the 2nd time in your Presidency, a first in your nation's history
  • He must vacate that same Presidency in 5 days
  • States are cancelling multi-million dollar contracts with his companies
  • Corporations and businesses are cancelling financial aid and any other support to and for him
  • He has hundreds of millions of dollars in loans coming due in months to come and finally,
  • He has been cut off from virtually all meaningful social media because of his personal opinions and announcements in the last months
More:

Pew's last poll of his presidency is also Trump's worst. They show his approval rating at  29 percent. A great deal of us out here don't think it should even be that high, of course. And while he is at his lowest popularity, most Americans want him held accountable.

Here's what they're saying about him across the pond in Ireland presently.

It seems his taxes are not just being investigated for his taxes and any problems in 2 New York State cases but also in both Ireland and Scotland. On top of it, Scotland has made clear Trump is not welcome.

Imagine that, please. A former US President declared not welcome in another, foreign nation that is an ally. Again, unprecedented in our nation's history. He's becoming a sort of, if not actual, man without a country.

Then, this is what's happening just now with his attorney.

Meanwhile, this is where we stand today on this very killing pandemic for which we are leaderless, of couse.

CDC projecting over 90,000 deaths within the next 3 weeks due to this pandemic. Then check out this fact breaking today: the United States, with about 4% of the world's population, has reported about one-fifth of all reported deaths globally.

Thanks, Mr. President.
Thanks, Republicans.

A Facebook post very correctly, I think, summed it all up this way:

Thousands dying every day, an economy in shambles, millions out of work, massive deficits, a skyrocketing national debt, a country divided unlike it’s been in decades, the United States turned into some twisted, embarrassing global reality show the rest of the world is watching in horror, our enemies are stronger, white supremacists and other conspiracy nuts empowered and more radicalized than ever before, and the very foundation of this country fractured to such an extent it might take decades to repair the damage that’s been done to it.  --  Allen Clifton

The Washington Post has summed up Trump to be the following:

The biggest loser

I think the following quote from USA Today is accurate.

With these last few days pending, it's the power he still has that is so very concerning.
There is at least one silver lining to Donald Trump's complete paths of destruction, I think and that's this.

I intend to make the following true the rest of my long, healthy, happy life, long as I'm alive.

I wasn’t sure how, exactly, we would get here, but this is exactly what I expected after 4 years of Trump being in office.

I will say this finally today, I no way thought Republicans would do worse than Nixon, and a LOT worse, at that, in my lifetime. But they did. And did they ever.
Fortunately, this afternoon, on a different story, there is this breaking just now.

NRA declares bankruptcy

My God, that is magnificent. So for 2021, we will have gained a vaccine, lost a killing pandemic, gotten  rid of an orange excuse and nightmare of a President and the NRA declared bankruptcy!!

Happy new year, everyone!

This President and his Political Party are More and Yet More Reckless and Dangerous

Now he's up to this today. Still pushing this.

Trump, attorneys step up efforts to reverse election's outcome

Not done there, he's also doing this.

Trump invites Michigan Republican leaders to meet him at White House as he escalates attempts to overturn election results

And then check this out. Rudy Giuliani did this. And this is actually what he looked like while he was.

Giuliani, flailing, says Venezuela, Clinton and Soros hatched 'centralized plan' to steal election for Biden

In another bizarre press conference, the president's personal lawyer lobbed unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud in a desperate-sounding bid to overturn election results.

It's not bad enough the President is crazy but his attorney and supporters are, too. Look at that photo of Rudy Giuliani. His eyes, his hair color running down his face, his cheek.

This is how desperate he and they all are.

Fighting and denying our vote, our election is Trump's and his administration's top priority so all else goes to heck.

Congress, White House have until Dec. 11 to reach spending deal in middle of coronavirus pandemic

Then this President did this.

Hey, if it's good enough for Senator Lindsey Graham to do, it should be okay for the President. Right?

Trump and his people no way lack for chutzpah.

Meanwhile...  Remember that pandemic?

This happened today. Finally.
Only World War II and the 1918 flu pandemic have cost more American lives. And it's not over yet, obviously. Heavens help us.

Thanks, Mr. President.
Thanks, Republicans.

And help? Maybe? From Congress?

Fuggedaboudit.

Insane.  Insanity.

But that's this President and that's his Republican political party.

Into what bizarro, alternate universe have we fallen that we have a President and most of his political party that is so opposed to doing what's right for the people and recognizing our vote, votes, election and Democracy? Especially during the most deadly, killing international pandemic in the last more than 100 years?

Again.  God help us. God help us all.

The Donald Is Getting In Way Over His Head

The stuff with this Republican Party President Trump is really starting to hit the fan, so to speak, this week.

For all the breaking of the Emoluments Clause and contacting and connecting with Russia and Russians all through the 2016 election campaign, what's been said to, if not even already shown to have taken place with this man and now the Ukraine, likely pushes things off any balance there supposedly was. I am referring, of course, to the following:

And note, please, right off the bat. This is not from the Washington Post or The New York Times or any other supposed "Left Wing rag" or source but none other than Rupert Murdoch's own solidly Right Wing, very Republican-supporting Wall Street Journal. Just some of their points and reporting:

President Trump in a July phone call repeatedly pressured the president of Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden ’s son, according to people familiar with the matter, urging Volodymyr Zelensky about eight times to work with Rudy Giuliani on a probe that could hamper Mr. Trump’s potential 2020 opponent.

“He told him that he should work with [Mr. Giuliani] on Biden, and that people in Washington wanted to know” if his lawyer’s assertions that Mr. Biden acted improperly as vice president were true, one of the people said. Mr. Giuliani has suggested Mr. Biden’s pressure on Ukraine to fight corruption had to do with an investigation of a gas company for which his son was a director. A Ukrainian official this year said he had no evidence of wrongdoing by Mr. Biden or his son Hunter Biden.

But wait. It gets better. It's not just The Donald. Rudy jumped in this mess, too.

Mr. Giuliani in June and August met with top Ukrainian officials about the prospect of an investigation, he said in an interview. After the July call between the two presidents, the Ukrainian government said Mr. Trump had congratulated Mr. Zelensky on his recent election and expressed hope that his government would push ahead with investigations and corruption probes that had stymied relations between the two countries.

Mr. Trump only recently emerged from the nearly two-year investigation by Robert Mueller into whether his campaign sought help in the 2016 election from a different country: Russia. While Mr. Mueller said in his report this spring that he didn’t establish a conspiracy between Moscow and the Trump campaign, Mr. Trump’s efforts to seek Ukraine’s help in damaging a potential political opponent are certain to revive criticism that the president welcomes campaign help from foreign countries.

Mr. Trump on Friday defended his July call with Mr. Zelensky as “totally appropriate” but declined to say whether he had asked the Ukrainian leader to investigate Mr. Biden. At the same time, he reiterated his call for an investigation into Mr. Biden’s effort as vice president to oust Ukraine’s prosecutor general. “Somebody ought to look into that,” he told reporters.

In recent months, Mr. Giuliani has mounted an extensive effort to pressure Ukraine to do so. He said he met with an official from the Ukrainian prosecutor general’s office in June in Paris, and met with Andriy Yermak, a top aide to Mr. Zelensky, in Madrid in August. Mr. Giuliani said in an interview this month that Mr. Yermak assured him the Ukrainian government would “get to the bottom” of the Biden matter.

That's not bad enough for this President. He apparently had to also add a monetary quid pro quo to this offer--and with our government's tax money, to boot. Your and my tax dollars, Mr. and Mrs. America.

The August meeting came weeks before the Trump administration began reviewing the status of $250 million in foreign aid to Ukraine, which the administration released earlier this month. Mr. Giuliani said he wasn’t aware of the issue with the funds to Ukraine at the time of the meeting.

And as usual and ever, this President isn't even bright enough to know when he's in over his head. Far over his head, as it turns out. Check this out, coming up.

Mr. Trump is to meet with Mr. Zelensky in person for the first time next week, at the United Nations General Assembly gathering in New York.

Whattya' bet The Donald now cancels that meeting? Wait for it.

What isn't to loathe of this man in the White House is to love, love, love--for sick humor.

The Bizarre, Completely Unbelievable Evolution of Collusion Denial from this White House

Image result for stupid trump

Beset by leaks, White House talks firings,

not apologies

From Aaron Blake of the Washington Post this week.

"Here are the seven distinct stages of collusion denial I've identified:"

1. November 2016: No communications, period

Hope Hicks: “It never happened. There was no communication between the campaign and any foreign entity during the campaign.”

2. February 2017: There were no communications, “to the best of our knowledge”

Sarah Huckabee Sanders: “This is a non-story because, to the best of our knowledge, no contacts took place.”

3. March 2017: There were communications, but no planned meetings with Russians

Donald Trump Jr.: “Did I meet with people that were Russian? I'm sure, I'm sure I did. ... But none that were set up. None that I can think of at the moment. And certainly none that I was representing the campaign in any way, shape or form.”

4. July 8, 2017: There was a planned meeting at Trump Tower, but it was “primarily” about adoption and not the campaign

Trump Jr.: “We primarily discussed a program about the adoption of Russian children that was active and popular with American families years ago and was since ended by the Russian government, but it was not a campaign issue at that time and there was no follow-up.”

5. July 9, 2017: The meeting was planned to discuss the campaign, but the information exchanged wasn't “meaningful”

Trump Jr.: “No details or supporting information was provided or even offered. It quickly became clear that she had no meaningful information.”

6. December 2017: Collusion isn't even a crime

President Trump: “There is no collusion, and even if there was, it’s not a crime.”

Jay Sekulow: “For something to be a crime, there has to be a statute that you claim is being violated. There is not a statute that refers to criminal collusion. There is no crime of collusion.”

7. May 2018: Even if meaningful information were obtained, it wasn't used

Giuliani: “And even if it comes from a Russian, or a German, or an American, it doesn’t matter. And they never used it, is the main thing. They never used it. They rejected it. If there was collusion with the Russians, they would have used it.”
