Yet Another High Placed Defection From the Republican Party, Thanks to Mr. Trump

Yes, here's yet one more. One more Republican very publicly leaving that political party.

Former NH GOP chair announces she's leaving the GOP

A bit of her story and the article:

Jennifer Horn, the former chairwoman of the New Hampshire Republican Party and a co-founder of the anti-Trump GOP group The Lincoln Project, announced Thursday in a new op-ed that she is leaving the Republican Party as President Trump and his allies continue their efforts to challenge the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Horn said she "became a Republican" because she viewed the party's values as "a voice for equality, freedom and constitutional conservatism, with a rich history of fighting for what was right because it was right."

"For the past five years, however, I have found myself fighting for what I thought were the principles of my party in the face of the ever-deteriorating character and integrity of party representatives," Horn wrote in the op-ed published Thursday by USA Today. "They have revealed their impotence and decrepitude as they have fallen, one by one, at the feet of the most corrupt, destructive and unstable president in the history of our country."

"It seems there is no assault on human dignity too great, no attack on democracy too extreme, to inspire the Republican weaklings in Congress to speak up or stand up to President Donald Trump," she continued.

And who but the most rabid Trump supporter can argue with that? With any of that?

Meanwhile, this report came out this morning.

January 20th will go down in history, but perhaps for all the wrong reasons.

Sources say President Donald Trump has told advisers that he will refuse to leave the White House on Inauguration Day. According to a CNN report, several sources have confirmed that Trump will refuse to leave the White House on January 20.

Insane. Insanity.

Thanks, Republicans.

Ever so.

Four Different Formal Groups of Republicans Against Trump

Four, four different groups of Republicans now that formed formal organizations to defeat the sitting President of their own political party.

Republican Voters Against Trump

And there's this, too, from The Guardian (link below):

A set of Republican national security officials has also emerged in opposition to Trump.

That group hasn’t given itself a name yet, and includes the former Bush homeland security adviser Ken Wainstein, and John Bellinger III, who served in the state department. The group is looking to rally national security officials away from Trump – either by supporting Biden or writing in someone else.

I'm telling you, folks., this is completely unprecedented in our nation's entire history.

Yet More Fantastic Presidential Election News Breaking Today!

Thrilling news today.

As I said in the headline, great, breaking news today--this of yet a third group of Republicans organizing to either defect this President Trump or get Joe Biden elected.

(CNN) A group of Republican operatives has launched a new super PAC to help turn out disaffected GOP voters for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, Matt Borges, a founder of the group, confirmed to CNN.

The group, called "Right Side PAC," will focus on targeting voters in battleground states like Arizona, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, Borges, a former chair of the Ohio Republican Party and an alum of the George W. Bush administration, said. The group will focus on data, targeting and turnout, and does not have plans to run television or radio ads.

Borges said the group will work to turn out "that group of Republicans who feels that Donald Trump is an existential threat to the country and this party."

First there was the Lincoln Project then Republicans Against Trump and now this.

It's a happy, happy day, ladies and gentlemen.

VOTE!!

And VOTE BLUE!!

Besides Republicans, Conservatives Are Also Seeing This President for What He Is

Check this stunning piece from none other than The American Conservative.

"South Korea appears to have managed the crisis successfully and they have suffered far fewer casualties than the U.S. has so far, and one of the main reasons for their success is that they did what we failed to do: widespread early testing to get a handle on where the virus was spreading. The federal government’s failures in particular have put the country in a terrible position, and even now the federal response remains uneven, erratic, and slow. Forget about what may or may not happen to U.S. “leadership” in the world. The federal government is struggling to lead within our borders. It is a humiliating development, and it should be particularly humbling for supporters of U.S. global hegemony, but then these people are not known for their humility."

As for Republicans, there's this group fighting his re-election:
