It's Nearly Unbelievable This Man Even BECAME President

There is an excellent article out from the end of June on this President.

And it spells exactly that--100 reasons why this man, this Donald J Trump is provenly unfit to be President.  It's a stunning list, even though most all or all we are familiar with. Herein are just the first 18 which gets us only to the Fall of 2016.

Post image

1   1985-1994

Reported $1.17 billion in business losses over the decade. Trump “appears to have lost more money than nearly any other individual American taxpayer,” according to the New York Times.

2    May 1, 1989

Took out $85,000-worth of full-page ads in New York newspapers calling for the death penalty for the Central Park Five—whose convictions were later vacated after DNA evidence proved their innocence. Trump never apologized.

3   1990s

Contrary to his story of being a self-made billionaire, Trump received the equivalent today of at least $413 million from his father’s real-estate empire, much of it transferred through suspect tax-dodging schemes.

4   1991-2009

Declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy for his various businesses six times.

5   2005

Bragged about grabbing women “by the pussy” in a conversation with Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush picked up on a hot mic.

6   2011-2016

Promoted birtherism against President Barack Obama—the false claim that Obama was not born in the United States, that his birth certificate was fraudulent, and that therefore he was constitutionally ineligible for the presidency.

7   2015-2016

Attacked in sexist and demeaning ways women who raised critical questions about his character. See: Megyn Kelly, Carly Fiorina, Hillary Clinton.

8   2015-present

Denies accusations of sexual misconduct, ranging from unwanted kissing to rape, by calling the women “liars” and not “his type.”

9   June 16, 2015

Announced his presidential campaign by describing America as “a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems.” Mexicans coming to America, he said, were “bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.”

10   July 18, 2015

Said Vietnam POW John McCain is “not a war hero” and “I like people who weren’t captured.”

11   November 22, 2015

Claimed that “thousands and thousands” of people in New Jersey’s Arab communities cheered on 9/11.

12   2016 campaign season

Encouraged violence. Said that he’d like to punch a protester “in the face”; that his supporters should “knock the hell” out of protesters—“I promise you, I’ll pay the legal bills”; and that the police should not protect suspects’ heads when loading them into squad cars.

13   May 11, 2016

Refused to release his tax returns for public inspection after having previously promised to do so. On other occasions, he falsely claimed he could not release them because he was under audit. When, in 2019, Congress subpoenaed Trump’s tax returns, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin refused to comply—kicking off cases that went to the Supreme Court.

14   May-June 2016

Said Judge Gonzalo Curiel is unfit to rule on a lawsuit filed by Trump University students because “he’s a Mexican” (in fact, the judge is an American citizen born in Indiana). Trump would later settle the lawsuit for $25 million.

15   July 27, 2016

Called on Russia to hack and release Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s emails.

16   July 30, 2016

Denigrated the family of U.S. Army Capt. Humayun Khan, who was killed in 2004 while serving in Iraq, after Khan’sTrump University father delivered remarks at the Democratic National Convention.

17   July 30, 2016

Broke with U.S. policy of supporting Ukraine over Russia’s invasion of Crimea, saying: “The people of Crimea, from what I’ve heard, would rather be with Russia than where they were.”

18   Fall 2016

Before Election Day, repeatedly hyped unfounded fears of a “rigged” election. Then, after Election Day, he stated, without any evidence, “I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally.”

Money, ladies and gentlemen. Money, big money from corporations and the already-wealthy and then heavy gerrymandering, coast to coast, and voter ID laws and so, then, the Electoral College, all got this man, this small, thoughtless, ignorant, reckless, now dangerous man into the highest office of the land, the presidency of our United States.

To that I must one more time say, thanks, Republicans!  That's quite the guy you foisted on us all.

This is all on you. For eternity.

More of this Unprecedented Presidency

Image result for stupid trump

You're President of the United States

So far:

--British Royalty avoided inviting you to a rare Royal wedding,

--a former President didn't invite you to his recently-deceased wife's funeral--and you're of the same political party

--and a serving US Senator with brain cancer announced, publicly, ahead of time, he doesn't want you at his funeral.

You think it might be you?

Republican Senator John McCain on the Citizens United ruling

When Senator McCain was asked about corporate influence in elections at Oxford University, he responded:

“They said money is free speech.

Since when is money free speech? Money is money.”

We need, as a nation, to overturn the Supreme Court's Citizen United ruling, let's be clear.

We need, also, to kill "campaign contributions."

We need, once and for all, to get the big, ugly, corrupting influence of money from the wealthy and corporations out of our election system and so, out of our government.

Until we do, nothing will change in America.

Our government will continue to be owned and controlled by the corporations and wealthy of the nation and world.

And the only way this will happen is if we, the people, agree on and demand it from them.

Quote of the day--man, I love these people

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Senator John McCain's daughter said on Sunday that Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell of Delaware, a Tea Party favorite, is "seen as a nut job."

Side note:  So, technically, officially, are all relatives of politicians, politicians themselves or political scholars?  I'm thinking the Cheneys first, and now the McCains.  Of course, the Kennedys may have begun the whole mess, eh?  But at least they studied history and government.

Senators Bond, Mitchell and McCain were way out of line

If you haven't read the front page story of The Kansas City Star today, you need to.

The three Senators listed above were in town and held a very small (100 people), "invitation only" meeting to discuss health care reform here in town at Children's Mercy Hospital.

What chutzpah.

They all said "compromise with Democrats hasn't been found."

Well, no kidding.

And why would it?

If the Republicans won't compromise, how can you get a compromise?

They were, it seems, in effect, blaming the Democrats for not giving them the compromise they were denying and wanting to deny.

Talk about blaming the victim.

"They blasted President Barack Obama's vision of health care reform, calling it outlandishly expensive, and predicted it could lead to rationing and outsized budget deficits for years to come."

There they go again--putting out nothing but fear.

Oh, and that rationing? We already have that, since rich people can and do get care and the poor and uninsured don't.

Get this beauty from Sen. McCain: "No country can continue to spend more than it takes in..."

That's good, coming from the Republicans. How come we got those huge deficits from that last 8 years of Republican rule, then? Where was the concern then?

Then there's this: "McConnell, the Senate minority leader from Kentucky, said if government got into the insurance business, it would wipe out the private insurance industry."

Ah, NOW we've struck on what--and whom--they're really concerned about--the insurance industry.

Their benefactors.

These Senators aren't concerned about you and me, ladies and gentlemen.

The insurance corporations are spending thousands and millions of dollars to make sure government stays out of the insurance business because then they won't be able to keep increasing our premiums while reducing care, all across the country.

What's stunning is that Sen. McConnell would even blurt that quote out for the press. He should know better than to make it clear who he's really working for.

"The three Republican senators said they are more interested in incremental health care reform..."

You bet they are. That way they can say they did something about health care in the US while ensuring that the insurance companies and other big business operations continue to clean the financial clocks of Americans.

But real, far-reaching, intelligent, all-encompassing health care reform that addresses the problems of the American public, their constituents?

No way.

Let me point out three simple, brief statistics, to show we need health care reform:

1) We have, above and beyond, the most expensive health care system in the world;

2) We rank, internationally, in mortality rates, 37th--behind Costa Rica and

3) Nearly 50 million Americans have no health care insurance or coverage at all and the number is growing daily.

There are more statistics available, quickly and easily. (See some here: http://www.michaelmoore.com/sicko/_media/SiCKO_sickofactoids.pdf)

So lets stop putting out all the fear, untruths and misrepresentations.

The health care system in America is broken. It is badly broken. It is financially breaking both households and businesses.

The Republicans need to stop being "The Party of No" and get behind a fix for this mess.

It's irresponsible to not offer true solutions and put the American public first and it's plainly bad for the country now and into our future.

Senators Bond and McCain that insecure in their views?

When did we stop all being Americans?

When did we stop all wanting to improve America?

I submit it was with the end of the "Fairness Doctrine" in our media, when the right-wing and Republicans did away with it. It coincided with the rise of the religious right wing and religion in government, to make things worse.

That created the rise in shows like Bill O'Reilly's and Glenn Beck's, etc., where we can just trash any other opposing views, ad infinitum--and ad nauseum.

Instead of pointing out a problem--and then a solution--now these shows just bash the opposing party or parties and, as I said, any opposing views.

It's just become a rant.

What was really galling was that, during George W. Bush's administration, from 2000 to 2008, the President's handlers would hand pick audiences for town hall meetings and television broadcasts.

Are we not all Americans? Can we not all go see and speak to our President?

At that time, clearly, the answer was no.

Fortunately, during President Obama's administration, we've gotten back to letting evryone in these meetings.

Hold a different view? No problem--you're an American, step right in.

And that is very refreshing.

Now the opposing side, however, wants to show their disapproval--and ignorance, to put it plainly--by showing up at these meetings with the President armed with weapons.

Insane. That's truly crazy. And patently irresponsible.

And yet they do it.

So, now, what's happening, here in Missouri?

In a blatant return to past, ugly, Republican practices, Senators Bond and McCain are going to speak here in Kansas City on health care but they're going to only allow supporters in the audience.

They're going to pick and pack their audience.

That's pathetic.

I ask again--are we not all Americans?

Are these men so insecure in their beliefs and policies that they cannot and will not allow opposing views within the room?

The answer appears, really, absolutely, to be yes.

More of that "creeping corruption" I spoke of earlier

Did y'all notice that Senator John McCain's son--Andrew--was on the board of directors and the auditing committee of a bank in Nevada last year until July 26, when he all-of-a-sudden resigned.

Just before the bank failed and the government took it over?

No, of course you didn't.

In the first place, the media didn't cover it very well at all. (It was in The Wall Street Journal, yes, and a few small articles in papers but it was very well buried, for the most part).

Oh, and that and the fact that it was NASCAR season. You know, we had other, more important things to pay attention to.

So here's Senator John McCain, campaigning to be the next President of the United States, his son resigns from a bank--both it's board and audit committee--the bank fails and has to be taken over by the Feds AND IT'S NOT A PART OF THE CAMPAIGN?

Can you imagine what FOX, CNN, and Rush (I'm an Idiot) Limbaugh would do with that news, if it happened to either Bill and Hillary Clinton or Mr. Obama?

Any of them would have been toast.

But here's this mega-rich white guy and his blonde, trophy wife and they get off scott-free.

Here's a quote from a paper at the time:

"Andrew K. McCain, the son of Republican Presidential nominee John McCain abruptly resigned from the bank’s board of directors and his position on its audit committee July 26. His term wasn’t due to expire until 2011."

During his Father's bid for the White House.

Since the press didn't ask and hasn't asked, let me set forward the following questions:

1) How did Andrew McCain get out of the bank?
2) Was he paid anything additionally for this?
3) If so, how much?
4) Also if so, did that money come from the bank? If not the bank and he did get money, where and from whom or what corporation did it come?
5) Was his Father involved in any way?
6) Were his Father's friends, associates or business friends or associates involved in any way? (Surely they were. Someone.)
7) If they were, whom? and what relationship were they to Senator McCain and the family?
8) How does one so abruptly resign from a bank's board of directors AND his position on the freaking AUDIT COMMITTEE, shortly before it FAILS and NOT be held accountable for the bank's failure? Unless, of course, your Father is running for the Presidency and the two of you have friends in high places in Nevada and nearby Arizona, where his Father is Senator?

Now, then, questions for the press:

1) Why weren't these questions asked?
2) Why don't we ask them now?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The RNC just pulled off one the most funny, sad, pathetic, desperate, pitiful and/or cynical act they possibly could.

Today, they elected, on their sixth vote--it took them 6 tries--their first ever African-American leader of their organization (the Republican National Committee).

Hearing that, you have to just bust out laughing.

Did you see this group last summer, at their national convention?

Or again, did you see the audience at Senator John McCain's concession speech, the night of the election last November?

Both groups, one very large, one large enough, were almost completely, totally lily-white.

Not only that, if a poll were taken, it would very likely be shown to be at least middle class, and a great deal of them upper middle class.

So we got an African-American from the Democratic Party as President so the Republicans threw the American public--and the world--a desperate, pathetic, political bone, way after the fact, of another African-American, in an effort to make themselves look, however ridiculously and disingenuously, like an inclusinve, multi-race party.

We all know better.

I salute the new Chairman, Michael Steele's, ability to take advantage of this situation, betray his people and exploit this opportunity so totally and utterly.

Opportunism never looked so good.

Keep in mind they were supposed to be on the same team

From the Kansas City Star today:

"An angry (McCain) aide characterized the shopping spree..."--of Sarah Palin and her brood at Neiman Marcus, etc., as... 'Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus coast to coast,' and said later the full amount wasn't reported yet."

So it looks as though it will go higher than the $150,000.00 earlier estimate.

Yeah. She was a maverick, all right.

She was--excuse me, is--just dressed up white trash, folks, with little education.

And she was going to be in the number 2 spot, for power, in the United States and the world.

This is how bad it was--and might have been

OMG

Once you go Barack...

2 Right Wing Wacko Stories

Right this moment, there are, literally, 2 Right Wing Wacko Stories out.

In the first, Representative (of all people) Michelle Bachman has put out a very public apology to Senator Obama for "her televised comments calling Barack Obama anti-American, according to a Republican source familiar with her campaign’s decision."

link here: http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20081024/pl_politico/24576

Seems Ms. Bachman opened her mouth and put it right in.

At least this Right Wing Republican has the courage and decency to what ought to be done--apologize--unlike too many of her brethren, including Senator McCain and Governor Palin. They fling the accusations out there and not only don't apologize, they keep 'em coming.

And the other story right now, from the Really Really Far Right Wing is about a young woman of dubious mental stability (I mean that seriously and earnestly, not sarcastically) who turned in a now proven false story about being "attacked by a 6-foot-4 black man Wednesday night..." for money, at a bank's ATM.

Hmmm.

Strange thread here, isn't there?

What's nice is that Senator Obama is "off the campaign trail" right now, seeing the gravely ill grandmother in Hawaii who raised him. My original concern was that the McCain camp might try to do some serious damage to Senator Obama's campaign by some shenanigans of some kind.

Instead, it seems the Right Wing Wackos are just self-destructing, all by themselves.

Finally, an aside, before we go, as if the above isn't enough, Sarah Palin is quoted as saying--and I'm not making this up--she would have named her next child "Zamboni", if she'd have had another. She said she always wanted to name a child Zamboni.

If the economy just keeps gettin' worse, this stuff just keeps gettin' better.

Have a good weekend, y'all.

Mr. "Man of the People"

Did you hear this?

Did you hear John McCain is selling one of his 7 (or is it 8? or 9? or 10?) houese?

Yeah, he is.

This one?

13 bedrooms.

Yeah.

Thirteen.

No kidding.

Garages? Sure. But how many?

7

Seven cars and seven car slots.

Oh, yeah. John McCain. He's a real "Man of the People."

He's just like you and me.

He's totally in touch.

He's just like you and me.

Yeah, right.

Like the Republican Party.
