Andrew Breitbart, 1969-2012

With conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart's sudden, surprising death last evening of a heart attack, I think two things need to be noted. First is that it's a bit surprising--not tremendously but somewhat--that the idea is already "out there" that this President's Administration was "no doubt" responsible for it is sad, a bit scary and extremely unfortunate. Hopefully that will end soon but I don't look for that. The idea that the Clinton Administration had their attorney assassinated is still, to this day, floating around out there, crazy as that is. I look for this to have a similar, disappointingly long lifespan. The second thing to note on this event is that divisive, ugly, angry, emotional discord in any country--this or any other--is not healthy or productive, period, and that goes for any political camp or viewpoint. Discussions and facts and statistics and data and reasoned, calm, intelligent debate naturally makes sense and needs to be promoted. People that take this route do their country no good service. This nation sorely needs the day back of calm, quiet, reasoned but still passionate conservatives of the likes of William F. Buckley, not what we're given to today. "Is the Tea Party racist?" --from Jackie and Dunlap

Andrew "Breitbart's kind of a genius. You get accused of something and you just throw it back at your accusers--'You're the racist! Nuh-uh, Black people are the racists!' Now the whole country is in a dick-measuring contest over who's the most racist--White people or Black people." Back to me: That is some delicious, true, biting satire, right there, folks. If only it weren't true.

What a dick

Isaw this Andrew Breitbart guy on Real Time with Bill Maher tonight and came to the conclusion he is a total dick.

He tried, again and again, to manipulate whatever anyone was saying, but particularly Michael Eric Dyson's statements.

What was especially obvious was that it was a television show with an interview with 3 high strung men who act like 6th grade boys.

There was just almost non-stop talking over one another.

This is why people create single-sex schools.

Boys and young men just run roughshod over one another--and the other girls who might otherwise be in the classroom.

It's nuts.

Anyway, I'll now watch for this Andrew Breitbart guy.

Like I watch for Bill O'Reilly.

Have a good weekend, y'all.
