Closer to home: The California and Texas droughts
I posted, this last week, on a lake twice the size of London that's gone dry and one in Iran that likewise dried up. So, here, then, are charts and pictures of California's own drought here in the US and how severe it's getting and has gotten:
You know California is where the nation gets much of its fruits and vegetables, right?
Meanwhile, here's video from PBS from a story they did last year, on the Texas drought and a lake that dried up there. In typical PBS fashion, it's loaded with a great deal of good, strong, if scary, information:
Bad and getting worse, it seems.
And we shouldn't make any changes?
