That song was popular back when my son was a baby and I still ironed our clothes. It's a LONG song, and they played it so much I soon came to hate it. Another long song is El Paso, which was popular when I was a teenager. I hated it too. Evidently I have a short attention span.
I remember a few things about this song. First, yes, I seem to remember it played A LOT. Second, that was when I HATED country music. Finally, I remember it was supposed to be kind of a "breakthrough" song for her both in just her career and its style.
Now, I can enjoy it. I'm not much younger than you but enough that it wasn't overdone for me. I don't need to own it but I like it.
